Independence Park is a central, beautiful, and very busy place in Charlotte, offering security and easy accessibility. It provides a fabulous view of the city center and is described as truly one of the most beautiful parks, like Charlotte's own Central Park. The park features a small playground area that is super comfortable, safe, and has beautiful play equipment, though some note it could be expanded. It includes a playplace with a jungle gym, swings, and a slide, alongside basketball, tennis, and sand volleyball courts. There are scenic walking areas with sidewalks, benches, and areas shaded by large trees. The park is very clean with hygienic services, restrooms, and water fountains. It has picnic areas with tables and lovely flower displays, including gorgeous floral attractions. Parking is noted as good with small lots, though the situation leaves a little to be desired. It is also a great and dog-friendly place.
Lovely and spacious, only con is lack of/unclear parking!

Not a ton to do, but a nice public space with benches, pavilions, and a playground.

Visited this park after it got re-done. Was impressed by the ball field - plenty of space to run around. Nice kids playground. Restrooms clean and new. Pro tip - park at sabor and grab some chips and guac and walk across street to eat! Plenty of picnic tables.
