I came as a volunteer with my daughter’s school field trip. This place is amazing! I wish I had something like this when I was growing up- a little “town” that can teach you about personal responsibilities, life lessons and finance. I really enjoyed working with my little ‘team’ at the bank. The kids had a blast! I will definitely be back to volunteer :)

Amazing experience volunteering today with some awesome 5th graders and the peeps from First National Bank! The new space at Camp North End is expansive and the staff was so enthusiastic and informative. Will be signing up to volunteer again.

I went here as a chaperone for my son's class field trip. I really like the real life feel that it gives the kids about working and getting a paycheck. They all really enjoyed it too! My son was a bank manager. The setup was really nice. There was a Novant Health Clinic, Sunbelt, Radio Station, a bank, a Town Hall and a few more places I can't recall as of now, but it was a great experience for the kids.

Passionate staff and an important cause, doesn’t get much better than that. Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas runs a tight ship teaching business acumen to 4th graders (in JA Biztown) and 10th graders (in Finance Park). Highly recommend volunteering with them for a day.

I enjoyed my 2nd time going on a field trip to JA, this time the Finance Park for middle school students. I had previously been to JA Biztown with an upper elementary montessori class (4-6 grades) where it simulates a town. JA Finance Park provides students a hands-on education in personal financial planning and career exploration. At the culmination of this teacher-led program, students participated in an on-site visit to the TowneBank Opportunity HQ, located in Camp North End. During this interactive simulation, students applied all they've learned to real-world experiences. The topics and concepts of JA Finance Park are intended to prompt students to begin thinking about and planning for their financial future. This program helps students build a foundation on which they can make intelligent financial decisions that last a lifetime, including decisions related to income, expenses, savings, and credit. Students received mentorship from corporate volunteers throughout the simulation. This is an awesome experience for children to see and feel how real life operates from a financial perspective and the choices they make. I definitely recommend!

Junior Achievement (JA) of Central Carolinas is an amazing organization that trains middle school students needed life skills such as finance, budgeting, and so such more. The JA team do a tremendous job facilitating and with the volunteer training. The whole experience is very meaningful and fun. The students learn so much and also really enjoy the experience!!! The facility is unbelievably well done. It's a must see! I highly recommend getting your organization signed up to participate today setting our youth up for successful future!!!

Went with my son's class a few years ago on a field trip. Let me start by saying the way this place is structured is amazing! They literally have a small city inside and assign the kids different jobs. It's then up to the children to make their job successful at the end of the day. Teaching them to pay attention to detail is a great skill to have at such a young age. I rate J. A. Biztown ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5️⃣ for their unique process in which they teach the kids. ??

Both my son and daughter benefited from their experience at JA BizTown during their elementary years. My son's role as a camera operator during his 4th grade visit was a peek into his future as he now works in Film & Television!

Went as a volunteer for my kids school. Volunteer parking was very confusing to find. Basically you enter on the Statesville side into a gated off section that is overgrown with brush and drive to the back. The idea for JA Biz Town is real cool to teach the kids how the real world works. It was a little crazy and a bit disorganized as we had a good idea of how the day would go with training but no specifics on how each business was supposed to be run and there were many gaps. Each time we asked for help I would get a different answer. The computers went down twice which kept us from processing transaction effectively. With all that being said, the kids had a good time and learned a lot.
