“Called Sorrells 8:30am and told them I needed the brake noise evaluated and repaired that day Eric told me to come right in. I left my truck and was given a ride back to the RV RESORT we were staying at. Truck’s front brakes and rotors replaced at a very fair price. Eric was honest and stated that rear brakes still had some miles left in them. Truck done by 1 pm and price same as estimate. I would definitely recommend this garage for locals and tourists who need urgent repairs!!”

“I stopped here for a cold drink and a bathroom break. The store was nicely stocked and clean. The bathrooms were okay, but there aren’t any latches on the stalls. The doors wouldn’t stay shut, therefore there was no privacy. Management really should address this issue.”

“I never entered nor purchased anything on Friday evening, Aug 4, 2023, but rather had an incredibly scary incident at the gas pump. To Richard, Ofr Allison, the guy who bought me a coke, and everyone else whose goodwill and kindness saved the day, as if you all dropped down from heaven just for me. I got home to my little community safely. I went straight to Swain's ER and met even more strangers. I am home without any extreme damage, other than looking the way I do and an NFL sized football on my lower back. Thank you so so much for all of your time and care. I've been an overly patient caretaker for years now, but this was not necessarily the vacation I was looking for. “This gas station is pretty bare bones. There's a couple of gas pumps outside and inside there are restrooms, but just one for toilet women and one for men. The snack selection is also pretty sparse but they did have a small selection of freeze dried fruit like blueberries, pineapples, mangoes, and strawberries. That's a fun little treat for the road! The beverage second is also pretty small (unless you're getting beer) and there is no soda fountain with ice. Try to make a stop before you enter North Carolina if you want a variety of snacks, beverages, ice and other things for your road trip. The staff are very nice and friendly definitely worth a stop if you need.”

“I'm a regular customer. I like the service so I basically avoid the gas station near me and go to this one just a little farther away but generally along my route anyway. They used to do awesome breakfast biscuits but thanks to the pandemic no more of that. It was definitely the best breakfast biscuits anywhere in town ... Kinda miss that ...”
“Usually dont have any problems here but this morning had to get gas in a hurry at 7:30 and they open at 7, but today the clerk said were not even open yet and I asked what time she opened and she wouldn't answer me and was hateful to me so if course that made me upset. As i walked to the pump I heard her talking about me to the next customer in line and he was looking at me embarrassed and then she made me wait before she turned the pump on! She about made me show my butt but I refrained!! Bad service from a lazy 30 minute late enployee!! This was on 5/02/2022 Monday 7:30am!!”

“After Hurricane Helene, this gas station was remarkably well-organized! They made the rounds through the long line of cars to let everyone know it was cash only. The staff was exceptionally friendly while handling our cash. We were truly impressed by their efficiency. The ladies used walkie-talkies to coordinate with the person inside, ensuring the correct pumps were turned on. Thank you for your excellent organization and patience!”
“I have bought way too many scratch-offs from this location. Fuel prices a on the higher side of average and drinks etc are pricey too. Plenty of pumps and parking. No pay phone.”
“I am moving to Waynesville N.C. I was please to find they have a Publix since I shop there in Florida but they also have an Ingles Supermarket. I have to say I was blown away by Ingles. The store is absolutely Huge and spotless clean. They have a much bigger variety of items and they even have a cafe by the deli with many tables and a large selection of hot ready to eat foods. I tried the Chinese and it was very good!”

“A year and a half ago I was late for class but needed gas so I went inside to pay and then quickly realized that I didn’t have a mask to wear to school. I asked the guy at the counter if they had any. A pack of the one use, a single one use, or even one of those weird gator necks. He told me that unfortunately they were all sold out and then proceeded to ask me if I needed one desperately. I told him yes, paid for my gas, and while handing me my receipt he said “Well I hope you’re trustworthy,” handed me his CAR KEYS, said “It’s the red one to the right of the store and I have masks in my glove box. Please don’t steal my car.” I went out, grabbed one from the glove box, locked his car, and returned his keys. He doesn’t work there anymore but I think about him everytime I get gas here. Also the lady at night that works there now is hilarious and so nice. She sings anything from Reba, Shania, and Garth to Ariana, Adele, and Beyoncé. Such a gem, she deserves the world.”
