Just visited the JC Penneys men's dept to ask a question. I was originally behind the only other customer at the desk where a young lady was helping the only other customer. A tall man with long hair comes over as a couple approaches and starts to help them, but then pauses to say to me "Were you...?" I said 'Yes, I was in line first ' (also the only customer line I knew of) he then says 'Well the line does start over here'. I said 'No problem, you can take them' and proceed to walk away.
Apparently, if you're not in the invisible line delineation or not of a certain staus/color it doesn't matter who was there first LOL
Thanks for saving me from spending my money therešš½

This store only has cashiers in the menās department and rarely more than one which causes very long lines. Also, not just around the holidays, year round. Very frustrating to wait in line and then a coupon doesnāt work. You need cashiers through out the store, hire more cashiers. Too many people stocking shelves.

Sad Store layout, Only 1 Cashier. Some of the items are over priced such as branded clothes but other things such as housewares, curtains, and novel items are reasonably priced. Poorly staffed store, witnessed poor management and long lines because someone else wouldnāt open a register. Plenty of parking and ample access to mall but store lacks life and seems too big for the merchandise it has.

Customer service is poor.
I went to pick up an order and at 11.30am just 1 register open with 1 cashier. I was in the line 25 minuts and everyone in the line was really upset. If you asked an associate for something they arenāt nice.

I went there yesterday looking for a suit and asked 3 employees to see if they could help me find one my size all of them made me feel like I was not welcomed and basically said āthere over there go look for themā as if I was bothering them or couldnāt afford it. I will take my business and money else where

Most times in this particular store #2294, the customer service counter is maned by only one employee. Doesnāt matter how many people are waiting in line. Seen a number of customers put items back and leave the store.

Browsing for earrings that were hypoallergenic. Asked about a pair and when she said that they were white gold. I explained that no those would not work. Thanked her and started to walk away. She said to a close coworker that if I couldn't afford the earrings, I shouldn't have asked to look at them. Uncalled for remarks very unprofessional. I will never return to JCPenny.
I am allergic to gold and silver, so keep your comments to yourself. There is no way I would ever spew disrespectful comments when you want people to shop in your store. Please remove staff that are rude.

I really feel bad today after going to JC Penney for an exchange and getting turned down because the tags where removed. I've never in the 40+ years of being a loyal JCP customer been treated like this. A Black lady that works there with an African accent really treated me awful. I felt like i was discriminated for being a Mexican/American. I hope that she learns how to treat customers alot better, because i would hate for latin people to feel look down on and shop else where, because JCP is my favorite clothes store...

Worst experience ever when doing an online curbside pickup. Only to notice that the curbside is not available. Then to come in the store. Thereās not an option for online pickup. I have to wait in this extremely long line. Please get more organized. Iām very unhappy and Iāll never shop here again.

Wonderful sales person! Replaced a watch purchased in December 2023. I got a new one! Had a warranty, no problem! Love shopping that is made easy and pleasant!
