Goodwill Outlet Store offers a unique shopping experience for treasure hunters and bargain seekers, selling items by the pound. Located in Northwest North Carolina, this nonprofit organization has been serving the community since 1926. Shoppers enjoy the thrill of digging through bins filled with a variety of donated items, often discovering one-of-a-kind treasures, including vintage textiles. However, the store can become quite chaotic, especially during bin rotations, as some customers can be inconsiderate, leading to a hectic atmosphere. Many shoppers recommend arriving early to secure a cart and exploring the store efficiently. While the prices are unbeatable at $1.49 per pound, the environment can be challenging due to the smell and the need to wear gloves. Unattended carts are a common frustration, as they block access for others, prompting calls for better policies on cart usage. Despite these issues, those who enjoy thrifting will find plenty of items to use or resell, making Goodwill Outlet Store a popular spot for savvy shoppers. The store’s operations support employment and training programs, ensuring that donations make a meaningful impact in the community.
