I am not a HUGE fan of this Salvation Army location compared to the one off of 321 in Granite Falls and the one up in Hickory off of LR blvd. During my last visit, I found the employees less than helpful. Typically what I expect when I visit a Salvation Army store is good hearted vibes, not “I want to rip you off and take all of your money” vibes. I’m referring to a picture I took to the counter which had 3 different prices on it… Of course, the woman behind the counter didn’t give me a second to talk and say “Hey, this picture is a little scratched up… Could it possibly be sold for the lower price point?” She immediately gave me the highest price. I get it’s not a store to be trying to lowball people, but it’s a thrift store for crying out loud- you probably aren’t going to sell that picture for that price anyways, and the only reason why I picked it up is because I was going to “renew” it myself. It wasn’t worth the price in the condition it was in, so I told her never mind. Walking around the actual store, everything just seemed so old. Some of the antiques were pretty cool, but other things- were actually insanely old and should have just been thrown in the dumpster. Broken frames and furniture, clothing with pet hair etc. To top it all off, most of the prices are ridiculous. $30 for a USED lamp?! The only thing that helps the case is that they have a color of the week which designates certain items half off. Still, a used lamp for $15 isn’t worth it when I can buy a brand new one at Ross or somewhere for $9.99. It’s a hit or miss here I suppose, I will stop back by to see every now and then. I did find one thing worth the money and it was a small porcelain dish for 50 cents (half off/blue sticker.) That’s it though.

The store has changed so much. I really enjoyed going, but prices are unbelievable. Things that have a $2.00 sticker from store you're charging 3 times the price. I don't know what has happened I think management needs to be looked at. I don't have a problem with helping and giving back to community, but don't bite the hard that helps!!! This really needs to be looked into!!!!✌️??

Look what I got at the Salvation Army! Just got this computer desk, large beveled mirror with gold frame, two shirts, two pillows, two huge cookbooks and these dishes for a total of only $44!I figure that the price if new would have been about $700 plus taxes! I'll be back . . . It's really fun! Retail stores can go jump in the lake. Or somewhere!

The lady at the front was very friendly but I just have to take off stars for the fact they priced a jacket they got for free at $130. That left a terrible taste in my mouth. That same jacket is online for $100 and, once again, it was used and a donation to them. Don’t donate high end items here if you want them to actually go to people in need. You’re better off selling that item yourself and giving the money to someone in need.

The Salvation Army store, they have opened recently, in Conover, NC. In the old, Village Motors building, is an excellent place to visit. If you're needing clothes for the winter, or needing, some odd and end stuff, for your home and family? You just never know what you might find there, and you will get it for a cheap price? And, if your looking for used work clothes, pants, shoes, shirts or belts. Go ask the staff! The staff are very kind and you are guaranteed to find something you will like!
