EnergyUnited is the largest electric cooperative in North Carolina, serving nearly 130,000 meters across 19 counties in the west central part of the state. Customers appreciate the reliable power service, with power outages being quickly restored, often within an hour. The company is known for its good customer service, making processes like stopping service when moving easy and quick, sometimes taking just minutes. However, some customers have questions about their solar programs, specifically regarding whether excess power is rolled over or kept for free use. Office hours are limited to phone service, as the offices are closed to the public. Some customers have expressed concerns about the activity levels of the service trucks, but overall, many have had positive experiences, praising the dependable power and helpful staff. EnergyUnited's commitment to service quality and efficiency makes it a trusted provider in the region.
I've used Energyunited for years and never had a problem. My power doesn't go out during storms, their response is prompt and quick for anything, and customer service has always assisted with any issues with billing. I've been pleased and thankful with the service here.

I am a customer of Energy United. am considering going to solar panels. Is it true that Energy United does not roll over the excess power your solar panels may provide to the next month or do they just keep the excess and use it for free?

Stopping service due to moving was a breeze. 6 minutes. Meanwhile, CLT water took an hour and told me their system just went down and they would call me back. I have not heard back from them.
