My experience with my local USPS delivery is that my package is usually very late I have to call and try to talk to someone to figure out what the issue is this has happened on 2 separate passions not only during the holidays.

Our post office is great! I've only had two instances where our orders didn't get here, and the delivery people really cared.
The post office employees are very kind.

USPS tracking says "package was delivered at or in our mailbox"? We live in an apartment with a locking mailbox. My daughter's package wasn't in it and I hope it wasn't left "at" whatever that means? Lady at Creedmoor post office seems to care less.
