Arrowmont Stables & Cabins is a 200-acre working horse farm tucked away in the majestic mountains of western North Carolina at 4000 feet in elevation, offering incredible 30-mile views. It is suited for a family retreat or a romantic getaway. The facility is professional and top notch. Guests can enjoy a horseback ride on beautiful, gentle mountain trails showcasing amazing and majestic scenery through the forests, with five trails varying from 45 minutes to 2 hours. The guides are extremely knowledgeable, patient, and kind, making safety a priority and providing lots of pre-ride instruction and encouragement. They pair riders with perfect, gentle, well-trained, and easy-to-ride horses, each with their own unique personality. The staff is courteous and attentive, ensuring everyone is comfortable and at ease, especially children and first-time riders. After the ride, guests may relax in comfortable vacation cabins with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a fireplace, some offering a great view of the mountains. It is a wonderful and amazing experience that comes highly recommended.

Had the most amazing time going on a ride with Arrowmont Stables! My husband, our daughters (ages 7 and 9), and my in laws (ages 75 and 76) felt safe and totally comfortable on the beautiful ride. The ride was peaceful and the staff was so kind and wonderful. The horses were great and calm! We will definitely be back!
