“We are locals but had never tried Arrowmont. We did the 90 minute valley ride for my husband’s birthday, which descended down the mountain to a beautiful meadow with pond and fall wildflowers, and then climbed over creeks and rocky terrain winding back up to the barn. Our family (children 18 and 10) are pretty well experienced on horses and trail riding all over North America, but this was the most challenging (and beautiful) terrain thus far. The horses (Victor, Whiskey, Buddy and Dover) were well trained, responsive and hard working. This is the most ”in charge” I’ve ever felt on a horse and Whisky was very responsive. Joshua was a kind guide and seemed very at ease, and Eric was helpful back at the barn with booking the appointment and paperwork at the beginning. Jericho, the friendly dog, took to my kiddos quickly and followed us on the trail as our scout. Arrowmont feels like stepping back in time.”
