This CVS location is generally noted for having amazing, kind, and helpful employees. The staff are consistently described as friendly, welcoming, and polite, making customers feel appreciated even during busy times or when the store is short-staffed. This positive atmosphere is credited to good management. Specific employees, particularly the pharmacist and another named employee, receive high praise for being sweet, professional, and jumping into action to help, with customers feeling they deserve recognition. However, there is a significant exception with one employee named Miles, who is described as terrible, rude, immature, and unprofessional. A detailed account from a Sunday shift describes him as being on his personal phone discussing inappropriate topics while ignoring a long checkout line, refusing to help an elderly man with the self-checkout, and being extremely annoyed when finally intervening. Later, when the pharmacist repeatedly called for his assistance over the store intercom, he ignored the pages and admitted to unplugging the speaker. He refused to help, stating he did not work in the pharmacy, and was ultimately disrespectful to a customer. This incident starkly contrasts with the otherwise friendly and helpful team, leading to the strong opinion that this particular employee should be removed from the schedule. The overall sentiment is that most employees are great and make the store a positive place, but one individual's behavior can severely impact the experience.
One of the pharmacists at this location is incredibly rude. She speaks over patients, rushes conversations, and doesn’t listen. I’ve seen her at one other local CVS location.
If you need to speak with a pharmacist, this is not the location for you.

At the CVS on 930 MLK Jr., Durham location: I don't think they even care about service or anything else at this point. Pharmacy is the worst. It's usually closed so you always have to come inside. When inside, they always want you to self-checkout while they stand around and watch you self-checkout!

Tried calling in prescriptions in for patients and got hung up on multiple times and sent to voicemail after I told the pharmacist it was a CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE and needs to be given over the phone if there are issues with the Rx. You work in healthcare. Not cool. #cvsauditthislocation
