Black owned business with immaculate vibes. Coffee is great, and the books are even better. Literally in my contender for top cafe in the triangle.The staff are so friendly and they know customers by name, so welcoming!

First time to this book cafe and totally love it!! We got a cup of rosemary brown sugar cappuccino. It has a very unique taste and it's very creative to add spices in coffee! This is such a cute cafe/bookstore that sells books and tings by Black people. We ordered a mocha latte and iced rosemary brown sugar latte, then sat down on one of the gorgeously printed couches and read a book together. This place has such a chill and relaxing vibe. Rofhiwa Book Cafe is a Black-owned independent bookstore and coffee shop in East Durham. We offer thoughtfully selected classic and contemporary books by Black writers across the globe as well as an array of coffee products.
Two key values inform our selection – the need to showcase the best of Black literary traditions and introduce our visitors to new literatures from everywhere where there are Black people.
