Black owned business with immaculate vibes. Coffee is great, and the books are even better. Literally in my contender for top cafe in the triangle. The staff are so friendly and they know customers by name, so welcoming!

Our first time stopping inside to explore the Rofhiwa Book Cafe.Very nice and cozy decor with a wonderful selection of African literature to delight all ages.We purchased Black Boy Joy to add to our Great nephews' book collection. We're very excited to visit with Bev again during the New Year to take a closer look at the new material while we enjoy a wonderful cup of hot cocoa!!

First time to this book cafe and totally love it!! We got a cup of rosemary brown sugar cappuccino. It has a very unique taste and it's very creative to add spices in coffee! The cafe is very spacious and it has books and couches for you to read and relax. People here are respectful and no one is talking loudly to disturb the peace!

This is such a cute cafe/bookstore that sells books and tings by Black people. We ordered a mocha latte and iced rosemary brown sugar latte, then sat down on one of the gorgeously printed couches and read a book together. This place has such a chill and relaxing vibe. I will be returning and suggest others to check it out as well!!

The staff was kind and welcoming. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our chai lattes. The place is spacious, but seating is limited. It was raining, so we couldn't sit on their patio. We were lucky that another customer left right after we ordered, so we were able to get a table. As we waited for our orders, we got to browse the small book selection by black authors-- a good place for book and coffee lovers.

First time visiting - nice staff and great cofffee options! They also have vegan Indian pastries for purchase.Parking isn’t super obvious — you can park anywhere on the street or in the lot on Driver St that has all the food trucks. Street parking on Driver St is easier to find on the side with the big church (across the intersection, diagonally, from the Rofhiwa book cafe).I can’t to come back and explore their book selection and try other drinks.

A minimalist and curated space with excellent coffee on a cozy corner. Rofhiwa also has an extensive selection of books by black authors in their independently owned Afrocentric space. It's beautiful. I would highly recommend this space for people looking for either a good book or a good cup of coffee or tea -- you can't go wrong!

Finally got the chance to stop by and see this café. Lovely atmosphere, plenty of good books to look over and a very smooth latte. Love having another coffee option in Durham. ❤️Also has several gyms and a semi-close stop for Pokémon Go users.

Rofhiwa is such a gem! What a beautiful place to work from, buy some books, and drink coffee. The atmosphere is cozy, inviting, and perfect for getting lost in a good book or catching up on some work.

I just came from a concert here. This was my first time at Rofhiwa Book Café and I am so happy that I was introduced to it. Not only do they have the best IPA that I’ve ever had & amazing coffees, but the vibe is so comfortable and relaxed. They offer shelves full of amazing books and the owners are really incredible! I highly recommend! Hidden gem ~ check them out in East Durham

This place was really nice on the inside. Super chill and beautiful place. They had a nice selection of black authors. We ended up sitting out back which was nice and there’s a cool mural out there. It was crowded when we went so there was no space inside but that’s to be expected. The coffee was a little expensive but overall a place worth visiting.

Black owned book cafe? Say less! We came here after my friend saw about it on IG and this cafe is so cute. The location is in a cozy corner of town. Once we stepped inside you could just feel the warmth and hospitality of the business. It was pretty busy for a Saturday, but we didn't mind the small wait. One of the owners was working behind the counter and kindly introduced herself and told us a bit more about the business. We only stayed for a bit to look at a few of the books and grab a drink, but there were lots of cozy places to hang out and I even saw blankets! Can't go wrong with that. If you'd like to see a video of the location, I made one that's featured on tik tok @reloadedree

Beautiful Black Owned Book Cafe! One of the best coffees you can get, but they also serve tea and beer here as well as provide blankets for you to cozy up with a book with. And the coffee, it’s delicious, simple and always the PERFECT temperature. Most of the times you get coffee, it’s too hot to immediately enjoy. Not here. Just an amazing place with great character, content and culture with a warm vibe. Also they offer baked goods and hot chocolate for kids!
