The Forest at Duke's mission is to provide a caring, responsible community that fosters the independence of residents of retirement age by enhancing their capability to lead purposeful, active, healthy, and secure lives. Nestled on 47 acres, our campus in Durham is thoughtfully landscaped to include evergreen and deciduous trees and a variety of flowering shrubs and hedges to bring year-round color to the grounds. We offer 5 floor plans for apartment living, 6 floor plans for cottages and individual homes, and 10 floor plans in The Terraces. Each home, from independent living dwellings to the private residences in our newly opened Health Center, includes features that create a comfortable and gracious environment of spacious living.
It's a fantastic retirement home. Very customer oriented. Great food and lots of activities.

I love working at the Forest . It has a very pleasant atmosphere. Very nice staff and, all of the residents are warm and friendly. Very beautiful community. You will love it!
