“The primary reason I chose Parkwood for my pet was based off the excellent reviews long term and even new patients left for this establishment. We’ve been going to Parkwood now I would say for over a year and we have received nothing but the best care for my pup. Times where my dog has worried me, we’ve called and they don’t just automatically say “bring her in” they make honest recommendations before they just take your money like other vets. They are also reasonably priced and they really value their patients. Thank you to all of the staff at Parkwood for the amazing care you give!”

“My two cats and puppy were patients here until we moved to another state this May. We had absolutely nice experience with Dr. Mayer. My cats have mild asthma, my dog has allergies. My puppy also got his neutering surgery here, it also went very well……Now every time my babies need to get vaccinated or are sick, I miss Westside. People here are reliable and very experienced.”

We had to bring her recently for an urgent visit and she answered all of my questions, worked with us on a plan and checked in a few days later to make sure things were going well. Not only is she expert in what she does, she genuinely cares for my pet, which means the world.”

“They have always treated our pets very well. We have had 5 cats and 2 dogs taken care of through Falconbridge. They have a very courteous and professional staff who are very knowledgeable. They have a sister vet (Village Vet) in Chapel Hill.
My dog isn't even afraid of going to see them- if that isn't five stars, I don't know what is.”
“The care we receive here from Dr. Smith is top notch. Our dog is a difficult patient with a complicated medical history, and she is always so patient with him. We recently went through a big health scare with him, and she was wonderful every step of the way. I felt like she was genuinely feeling all of the emotions we were feeling as we made decisions for him, and she was able to get him in at NC State for surgery. She has been a partner in his care and shown true interest in his wellbeing. We continue to travel almost an hour to come to Dr. Smith even after having moved out of Durham because of the level of care our little guy receives.”

My dog's eye was inexplicably swollen shut and as an anxious pet owner I panic called Broadway Veterinary to see if they could get her in ASAP. I am so grateful that Dr. Hartz was able to see us urgently (same day!) and she took such good care of my girl. She figured out what had happened and her treatment plan started working right away. Within a week everything was back to normal!

“I just started coming here with my 2 pits a couple months ago. Every time I’ve been in the staff has been incredible from the front desk, to the techs, to the vets. Even the doctor that I didn’t meet that performed my pup’s dental left a very sweet voicemail assuring she did well and he seemed very pleasant. This is exactly why I stopped going to Vetco. The people who work here care about what they do and I feel like I’m getting a thorough and efficient experience every time I come in. Genuinely love this place!”
“Amazing medical help, kind and compassionate staff, clean facility, and always open in the case of any emergency.The only down side is that it is not cheep by any means. Expect a large bill and a substantial up front payment, but while you considering if you will sell off some things or get a second job remember, you do get what you pay for.Also if it’s a high bill you can’t afford they work with care credit and you can get up to 60 months without interest which definitely softens the financial burden.Update 6/11/24Charlie is getting better and better every day.”

“There are no words great enough to describe how much I LOVE North Paw Animal Hospital. We have had multiple pets as patients there over the years and they've NEVER disappointed us. I especially appreciate their attentiveness, follow-up and empathy towards both pets and owners. Staff are all super friendly and strive to learn their patients and their families. I'm often greeted by name (as are my pets) when we walk through the door. The Doctors are super knowledgeable in their craft. I've never questioned one of their opinions or diagnoses, majorly because they take the time to break them down for you and give you the potential causes, risks, treatments etc., and are honest about the services they can provide, and happy to provide referrals when necessary. They always answer the phone, answer questions, return calls, and medications are super easy to refill and pick up on the same day (provided you're not calling at closing time). Additionally, they offer Paw Plans. These are monthly payment plans that cover the cost of all annual checkups, and vaccines, and can provide discounts on other things like medication and unexpected visits. Our senior dog is on the elevated plan and it includes one dental cleaning a year. These plans are super affordable, don't just take my word for it, ask them! One step inside the door, and you'll know you're in the right place.”
