“Our church ordered 78 pieces of fried chicken on Sunday, August 3rd, 2023 and it was absolutely delicious! They accommodated us by having it ready by 11:00 a.m. and we greatly appreciated it! Nancy, the deli manager as well as her staff are truly an asset at Food Lion! Many thanks for assisting us in having our fellowship luncheon!”
“Meadstown Produce and Deli are two of the best kept secrets in Elizabeth City. They are the warmest, most friendly people you’ll ever meet. Everyone who comes thru the door is treated like family. Their fresh made to order sandwiches are made with Boars Head cold cuts. They also offer the best homemade pimento cheese sandwiches. If you are looking for items to bring home, step into the general store side and there Wayne would be happy to slice some cold cuts, rib eye steaks or center cut pork chops for you to take home! So next time you are looking for some place new for lunch take a short drive into the countryside. It is so worth the ride.”

“Very convenient overall. Rather a staple in the area especially being the farthest into weeksville. Whether it be gas, lunch, common necessities like drinks, snacks, and even food to cook at home. Also provides local accessibility to tackle, bait and ammo. All staff you will find to be friendly and courteous and enjoy conversation from the point you pull up and until you leave. Has a public restroom that is fully functional and maintained. Good old country store.”

“I really do love going in the store The associates the gentleman that work there the boss I don't I'm not sure who exactly is the boss but you can tell you know those guys those men are so nice and they treat me very respectful for being at war veteran and just being a plain old man and sometimes a man with less money that I do have to buy what I do need they treat me great God bless them May Allah protect them”
“I prefer shopping at home and picking it up. Instead of going to the store and dealing with EVERYBODY and their attitudes. LoL. I bring my own bags so I can SEE the items in case of any spoilage. Occasionally, it happens. They have always offered to go select a better one or remove the item from purchase. I have never had an issue with their service. People are always polite. The pick-up area is well marked and brightly lit up at night.”
“This DG is not the closest to my house. I always come to this one when the one near my house is out of the item I'm looking for. As this one tends to always be better stocked”

“They’ve redone/ reorganized everything. the place looks wonderful and the beautiful older woman with white hair was such a pleasure. I’ve never had an interaction with a. dollar general employee like her, somehow she made it feel like when you walk into a small business haha, very helpful, made conversation, and was wiping down the register ( and made it a point to ensure it was dawn and water so nobody was putting their food on harsh chemicals)”
“Haven't been to this walmart in a many years. Went to buy a watch and met a sales associate on the floor because I didnt know where they were located. She was so helpful. After I purchased my watch I needed info for my warranty for 3 years on my watch but the cashier in self check out seemed like I bothered her to ask for a flyer for my warranty I need to go online to register today. She gave me the warranty info and I left. I'm not familiar with the store or their procedures. I still love Walmart no matter whom I meet. It's a wonderful Walmart to visit off Halstead near Elizabeth City NC.”
