“Great store. Has just about everything you would need! Shelves are pretty well stocked and the staff is friendly. I live in Indian Beach and it is nice not to have to to AB or EI for most grocery items!”
“Have not went in yet and had a bad experience. Have nothing negative to say about the current employees. Store is a bit clustered and things need to be pulled to the front of the shelves and items need to be put in the correct spot other than that, groovy.”

“I’ve been to 1 Dollar General in my life and said I’d never go again….. Well I’ve been to this location twice in the past 8 months and plan to go again tonight – maybe 2nd and 3rd time is a charm?! I credit it to the staff who are always wonderful, very helpful and friendly! We have a home down the street and can’t say I’d try other dollar generals in the Triangle where we live most of the year (may be open to try the others in the coast-area) BUT as long as this location keeps the shelves full w great items, the high caliber of staff and customer serv remains, I’ll a customer for life – Never Say Never!”
“I go there every few days to pick up basic needs when I run out. Their prices are a little high on some things. Nevertheless their products including frozen foods are absolutely delicious.”

“I was very pleasantly surprised by the Dollar General near 3000 Emerald Drive, Emerald Isle, NC. Ill admit i was expecting more of a Dollar Store vibe than a General Store vibe but, while its a bit of both, its definitely more General than Dollar. They had great looking fresh fruit, un-scary dairy, frozen foods, beer, wine, sodas, etc. plus many general store items. All items were reasonably priced, particularly for a beach town. I had no idea. But now I do.”
