“I Have been going to Mountain Variety for about 15 years Now. Ever Interaction has been Positive, They do All the Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance for My Chainsaws, Even electric, my weed eaters, and Most of my lawn equipment. I collect old tools and even When they might think 🤔 their Junk, Nick will sharpen and repair them. I had become real attached to A Ryobi weed eater that was the 4 stroke and because Nick continued to Repair it Until there was Truly No More Life to It. It lasted me about 8 or 9 years. I'm Not Gentle with Equipment. Anyone else would have told me to Toss it at about the 6 Year mark. 😆 LoL”
“B.B. Barns is the way to go. I had the pleasure in working with Abigail in the nursery. She listened to what my project entailed and was very patient. She made some great recommendations on tress that I could use to use in my space for privacy and noise reduction. Her knowledge of tree names, growth rate, growth width, etc. is impressive. Thomas Howell in scheduling contacted me promptly to set up my tree delivery and installation. Cooper and Eric, who delivered and installed my trees were friendly, engaging, professional and patient. They did not hesitate to share their opinion when asked. They are perfectionists and my space looks fantastic. B.B. Barns stands by their landscape warranty. One of three trees purchased in February, 2025 was not doing well. It was replaced, delivered and installed without issue which Dave in the nursery took care of. Excellent customer service in all departments and I highly recommend them.”
“Always phenomenal offerings at basement prices. Love the people that work there, super nice! Anytime I need basically anything at all from plants to gifts to brewing supplies they have everything.”
“Very kind. Good atmosphere and truly the most reliable business in asheville for all lawn and garden supplies. Can't say enough how professional and kind the whole crew there is.”
“Great plants, fuller and healthier then plants in big box store
Really good variety . Very knowledgeable and helpful staff
They know their plants and it's clear they like people too. Real nice and fun experience shopping there!”
“I have to give Linda's a five. Quite the variety of perennials and annuals as well as trees and evergreens. Their smoke tree seemed a little pricey but I still give them a 5 rating. Just to go there and get ideas of what you might want to plant. Got some Yellow Boy tomato seedlings that looked great and will go with the Roma's and cherry tomatoes I already planted by seed”

“I've been to this Home Depot a lot!!! Pretty much on a daily basis but I had to write this review for Roy in lumber! He was of so much help today even though he was extremely busy he stopped to help me find some primed 1X4X8 trim boards. I would like to say thank you to him for being kind & helping me today!!”

“Customer service in the gardening section is generally helpful, with staff members who are knowledgeable about the products and willing to assist with any questions or concerns. This is particularly beneficial for new gardeners who may need guidance on plant care and maintenance.

“I found this hidden gem a few months ago and am in love! Not only are the orchids I bought beautiful and so much better than anything you can find at Lowes, grocery stores, etc but the service is incredible. The day I visited the person on staff was very pleasant and shared some good info about possibilities with my plants.
Fast forward to now - a few months later, and I reached out because I had some mold growing on the medium of one of my orchids and I reached out via the contact form. Sariyah has gone above and beyond problem solving and happily shared what could be going on and how to remedy it. Even offering for me to bring it back to get more hands on support. I’m going to give it a go myself but wow! If I could give 100 stars out of 10, I would!”
