Avis closed early while competitors remained open. I had to take a cab to hotel and back next morning to get car. Five people in line when they opened as computers down. Took 90+ minutes to 1 find my reservation (with my rev number), get items signed, and get the car. Sad, just sad.

Making a reservation doesn’t mean you’ll have a car reserved for you. I showed up on time to pick up my rental only to be told that they have no cars available and to have the lady at the customer service desk laugh while seeing that I’m visibly frustrated. Luckily, Thriffy, a rental company who is three desks down from Avis, had a car ready. Not only was the customer service top tier, but the prices were cheaper as well! A win is a win :)

Dirty, damages inside and out, pet hair, vehicle you reserve is never available at pickup, and terrible customer service. I reserved a Yukon two weeks in advance and when I arrived at the Fayetteville, NC Airport it was no longer available and was forced to drive a small car when I had to have a large SUV for work equipment. I was not notified of any change and drove an hour out of my way to pick the rental I reserved. The second incident was similar and had a very bad allergic reaction to whatever pet was in the vehicle prior to mePicking up. I love animals but unfortunately my asthma and allergies will not allow me to share the love I want with them. Terrible location and customer service!

I ended up with a rental bill from Avis 13 November from the location in Fayetteville airport for $568. The crazy thing is I never rented from Avis and I had been in Tampa from 31 Oct to 20 November. I had to dispute this charge and get a new card. So Avis please explain how the hell you taking money from me when I had not rented anything from you? I’ll wait!

I HATE ENTERPRISE. THIS COMPANY DESERVES -100 STARS!!!!!!!!!!! THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST RENTAL CAR COMPANY I HAVE EVER RENTED FROM! 11/1/2023 at 3:15pm, I took an Uber to Enterprise at Fayetteville Airport. This rental car is HORRIBLE!!!!!! This place waited to tell me when I get there that there is no vehicles available. This is after I reserved for 2 other Enterprises (Ramsey St. and Skibo Rd) that are also just as HORRIBLE. They also didn't have any vehicles. I call and went to all this Enterprises and all told be after I reserved a vehicle they didn't have any vehicles.

Picked up vehicle at Fayetteville airport. Agent was nice. Given a rear wheel drive vehicle with 2 bald back tires although I didn’t realize it until I hit the mountains of West Virginia and it was raining. When I began to fish tail on wet roads, I called Avis who told me I had to drive it 1.5 hours away to the nearest Avis to swap it out. On the way there, one of the tires went flat (See photo).I had to put on the donut. I get to the location to swap out the car and the agent there tells me that she doesn’t have a car to give me. After 15 minutes, she ‘finds’ a vehicle. Upon returning the new vehicle, I explained to the agent that gave me the car what had happened and his reply was , “Sorry that happened.” I have rented with Avis many, many times, as I travel for work and never have I had such subpar service or been given a vehicle in such a state of ill repair. Absolutely unacceptable! Putting the safety of any client into jeopardy is unacceptable.

This company had some of the nastiest and rudest attitudes. Apparently you cant rent sports cars or SUV's without a major credit card on file and they also run your credit as if your purchasing a car. Worst experience RENTING a car.

Worst experience ever. I made a reservation over a month ago for a full sized pickup truck I show up today, exactly at 4pm for my pick up and even did the pre check in. I get to the counter and the lady behind the desk tells me they have nothing available, I said what do you mean. She goes on to tell me well we have nothing available right now they are getting cleaned. So after an hour of waiting, I go back up and get told they didn't have anymore rentals avaliable other then a kia sol and a mini van neither of the two options I could use for the week. I ask to speak to the manager and no surprise there is no manager. I call the only corporate number they have and it's a call center. After being on hold for 20min and being transferred twice, I finally got to a gentleman named Julio. Julio tells me that my options are to wait till 8pm for maybe someone to return they're rental on time, get a uber and take a trip to Wilmington NC for a different location or cancel my reservation. So i do the only think i can and wait Julio changes my reservation to say 8pm. This is unacceptable and when I asked Julio I wanted to speak to his manager to file a complaint about who they apparently do not know how to run a functional business location at the Fayetteville Airport. Julio tells me that is not a good enough reason to speak to management. Are you freaking serious, long story short I'm still here waiting but apparently all of a sudden they have a Silverado on the way back that just needs to be cleaned we shall see. Probably won't be on my way till 9:30 at night avis better do right a comp me for my time frustration and lost evening of travel. Just unacceptable, next time if you run out of cars at least let the people know I'd gladly give my money to a different company and will do next time

BE AWARE, airport location in Fayetteville, NC!!! Prepare yourself for the possibility that Avis WON’T honor your reservation; if you make it through a third party, like Priceline. I made a reservation the day before, and received a “confirmed“ confirmation. When I arrived to the counter, I was informed there were no cars available for my reservation type. My helper, a senior Caucasian male, was incredibly patronizing and passive aggressive. He gave me two choices, “you can pay the upgrade fee” or “walk around and find something cheaper”. I only needed the vehicle for eight hours. He didn’t exhibit any compassion. It was a complete SCAM! Be cautious that they're attempting to collect ALL of the money without compensating the third party. I was practically forced to spend $50 more merely to rent a car. When problems like this arise, I strongly advise you to get in touch with Avis customer support.

Susan, I have made several unsuccessful phone calls to numbers provided by different Avis personnel. I have provided emails with no results.Bottom line is a Avis personnel at the Fayetteville airport in North Carolina stole money from me. I will be contacting Better Business Bureau and if I need to carry this further, I will get a lawyer involved. Every think that people should trust is a scam.

Avis would not let me add company discount after the renting of the car. Very poor customer service. Update: after review, Avis reached out to me and fixed the situation. I would definitely use them again.

Good 'ol Avis comes through again when those other guys bullsnotted me saying 'we'll pick u up', only to not have a vehicle for me even though I had made a reservation. Had to take my business elsewhere. Avis is now my 1st choice,...btw, great agents at the counter, pickup and return!!

Always check your receipt. I got charged additional fuel charges and for an additional day when I brought the car back on time and full! The customer service rep was admitting I needed a refund then he hung up and when I called back they said they weren't available. Smh

Representative was friendly & professional.We received a nice Nissan Altima for a one way trip.
