“My foot Dr recommended two places to buy shoes for my troubled feet. My mom used to shop there, so that was my first stop. Took my time getting out of the car, looked up, and saw a man patiently waiting for me at the door, and opened it for me. I knew right away I came to the right spot. Everyone was so nice and attentive, and a woman with lilac hair came to me, and began asking what I wanted. She asked questions, measured, and took the time to gather a selection of shoes, helping me with each one. She didn't get offended when I turned down what I didn't want, and finally found the right ones; a pair of boots, leather, hand made in America! They felt good, and I can hardly wait for cooler weather to wear them. The whole experience reminded me of the way stores used to be in the 50s and 60s. The employees are knowledgeable, with impeccable manners; something sorely lacking today. Allen's store is clean, the decor pleasing, and no clutter. They have a huge collection and many choices. I see that some customers mentioned price. Well, when you have hard-to-fit feet, you're willing to pay more to be comfortable and pain free. I've paid a small fortune in shoes that had to be returned, but these are a keeper! Thank you, John Allen Shoes.”

“I want to say the cashier’s name was Sharmone Williams. Don’t quote me on this because I meant to do this review on yesterday the 10th of August. I lost the card with her name. But nonetheless, I want you guys to runnnnn to DXL if you’re a plus sized person. She was so attentive. Initially, I was hesitant and was looking for clothing myself for my brother. Then, it was a PROCESS and she came to ask if everything was alright. That time, I allowed her too. My brother really loved the graphic shirt she picked out. Her customer service was superb. She takes pride in her work. Not only was she nice to me but I watched her and she was also nice to the other people in the store, too. This girl needs a raise because she is the face of this store. Yes, it can be pricey but she also let me know about afterpay/affirm. Can’t remember which one but she told me that, too. She even remembered my brother before I even said anything about him liking graphic tees. So, like I said…she’s awesome! I don’t know who the owners are…just know, she’s rocking DXL. It’s already tough enough to be heavier. Some folk throw you to the side to ‘fend for yourself but not her. She welcomes you warmly. -April”

“Easy to find with Google Maps! Very clean, well-stocked, and organized. Associate Evelena greeted us warmly, checked out multiple customers, and came over to offer her help with our selections. We ended up buying way more than we went in for because of her extreme knowledge of the industry. Evelina is an excellent example of what every salesperson should strive to be. She even took the time to describe the advantages of the Shoe Show Rewards program. We signed up! We were also warmly thanked for our purchases on our way out. Retain & promote!”

“I went in today to buy my son shoes. At check out the system was glitching and denying my card. I was charged twice but on Journeys side it didn’t show that I paid. I paid $150 and walked out empty handed. BUT they got all the managers on it, they called customer service, and dug deep to solve the problem. Those managers are bomb! They handled it and called me afterwards. It was very confusing but they handled it well. Thank y’all so much! We will definitely be back to buy shoes. Fingers crossed it doesn’t act up for me again lol”
