“I was referred here by a smaller fabric store just north of here. Asheville Cotton Co. ACC were very nice, and very helpful. She guided me to Foam and Fabrics Outlet.
I ordered 5yds of fabric and proceeded home (30 minutes) to move forward with my project.
Dang!!! Too short. I measured. Half a yard short.
Based on reviews I have read here I did not feel confident that I was going to get satisfaction.
Next morn I head back. Those women were the sweetest. Need I say more? Well if I do, yes, they fixed the error.
There's so much more to the story, but I'll leave it at that except to say the staff were excellent.”

“New Morning Gallery is one of those places that makes browsing feel like part of the fun. The space is larger than it first appears, with room after room of handmade art that really does seem to go on and on. You will find everything from jewelry and glass to ceramics, furniture, and small gifts, with pieces at a wide range of prices so it works whether you are looking for something special or just a small souvenir.
What stands out is how thoughtfully everything is curated. The work comes from American artists and feels both creative and usable, not just decorative. It is the kind of place where you can wander and keep spotting things you did not notice at first. We have decorated our own home with several pieces from here over the years, and they are still some of our favorites.
On our most recent trip, we found the perfect purple ceramic bowl for my mom, her favorite color, and it turned out to be a gift she truly loved. She has happily made it the centerpiece of her dining room table, which says a lot about both the piece and the gallery. The staff made the experience easy and pleasant, being friendly and helpful without hovering.

Appalachian Tropicals is the absolute best place to buy orchids online. I have ordered many orchids, each one of them perfect. Also, their orchids do an incredibly well over time.Many online vendors send out orchids that look great, but do not stand the test of time. I never have to worry about that with this orchid seller.”

“Colton does a great job keeping high quality furniture in The Furniture Barn. When you have furniture to sell he'll tell you right away whether he can sell it and what he should be able to get for it. If you're buying he'll explain why the price is what it is - which by the way is always fair. We have bought a half dozen items from them over last three years and are super satisfied with all of them. “My wife and I bought our small cottage home in 2018 and waited 5 long years before we were done raising kids to finally move in and make it our own. Until we found Chris and his support staff at Dwellings. Chris' kind, quiet demeanor and expert guidance was just what we needed. The showroom is beautiful and gave us so many ideas. The quality of the furniture was just what we were looking for, furniture that would last for years to come. Chris took time to help us chose color combinations and fabrics for our living room suit and when we changed our minds on the rug color we had chosen, he did everything in his power to make the exchange happen smoothly and painlessly.
