“Nadeau's new location--an enormous, airy and spacious warehouse near downtown Asheville--is a phenomenal place to shop. It provides an even more enjoyable experience than the previous location, offering a larger array of excellent, pre- assembled, mainly all-wood furniture. The store lends itself to a lovely kind of wandering browsing. It feels similar to taking a walk through a garden or arboretum. It's a wonderful addition to downtown Asheville!”
“Found this floor screen treasure at Sunnyside Trading Co., and shipped it down to our home in St Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Used two doors to frame out the doorway between kitchen and butler pantry. Everyone was so helpful and I Sunnyside will be my new go-to for that must have special piece. Bonus is that I have two more to use in our office.”
“Dianna and the whole team at Mobilia have been invaluable in helping furnish my last few homes. In fact, when selling my last home, the buyers asked to buy the house fully furnished. Dianna really listens to my design ideas and always has the perfect solution….usually improving on the design! You can tell that she loves to help people make beautiful spaces. So many unique pieces available at reasonable prices. The delivery team was top notch as well giving white glove service until each piece was perfectly placed. I highly recommend Dianna and Mobilia if you want a seamless and fun experience designing your home!”

“New Morning Gallery is one of those places that makes browsing feel like part of the fun. The space is larger than it first appears, with room after room of handmade art that really does seem to go on and on. You will find everything from jewelry and glass to ceramics, furniture, and small gifts, with pieces at a wide range of prices so it works whether you are looking for something special or just a small souvenir.
What stands out is how thoughtfully everything is curated. The work comes from American artists and feels both creative and usable, not just decorative. It is the kind of place where you can wander and keep spotting things you did not notice at first. We have decorated our own home with several pieces from here over the years, and they are still some of our favorites.
On our most recent trip, we found the perfect purple ceramic bowl for my mom, her favorite color, and it turned out to be a gift she truly loved. She has happily made it the centerpiece of her dining room table, which says a lot about both the piece and the gallery. The staff made the experience easy and pleasant, being friendly and helpful without hovering.

“Sanctuary of Stuff is a unique gift shop in Woodfin (north of Asheville). There's a fun vibe, with beautiful pottery, glass, jewelry, clothing, homewares and baby things made by artists, many of them local. Perfect place to find something for that hard-to-buy-for person. The owner was very friendly. We'll definitely be back!”

“The Carriage House Shop is the largest retail store on the Biltmore Estate, located within the historic stable buildings adjacent to Biltmore House. Originally designed to house George Vanderbilt’s driving horses and carriages, the 12,000-square-foot complex now serves as a central hub for shopping and dining.
The shop offers:
●frequently offers complimentary tastings of wines, wassail spice blends, and gourmet dips.
●large selection of Biltmore Winery wines, local honey, preserves, and specialty snacks
●Biltmore-branded clothing, Loungefly bags, magnets, and postcards.
I especially found the china wonderful. This teapot is part of the Vanderbilt Service collection from the Biltmore Estate. The design is an adaptation of historic china on display in the Oak Sitting Room at the Biltmore House.”

“Working with Charlton was a key element to the success of our "to the studs" renovation. Charlton is an excellent listener and was able to incorporate our ideas into his finished design work while at the same time, he guided us through decisions in areas that seemed murky to us. As the house was uninhabitable for nearly a year, we moved out of state for the interim. Charlton served as our point man on the job. Initially that can be a bit unsettling but early on we realized we were extremely well represented and that he was looking out for our best interests the entire time.”
“Have known and been working with Alan for over 5 years. His first creation for us was the entry way to our mountain home. He created 9 separate stained glass panels that made up a scene of a tree in the door branching out to side panels with different hues of brown and greens that included a pileated wood pecker and cardinal. The late afternoon sun makes the entry way come alive. Many afternoons I find the best chair and watch the transformation. Alan is a Master Craftsman. His work ranges from small cute sun catchers to detailed, elegant, masterful entry ways and window pieces. His most recent work for us has been the restoration of wrought iron deck end tables that were weathered and worn. He created new table tops with glass encased colorful humming birds. They will elevate and enhance the deck into our outdoor living room. Helene devastated Alan's home and business. His resilience and determination are equaled by his talent and skill. You will never be disappointed.”

“RH has an outlet and I moved close to it? I’ve been looking at couches for years wanting one. Walking in I was greeted by Rebecca who was very helpful in helping me find the “couch I can sleep on”. She was very nice and and answered any questions I had and even measured furniture for me. She also told me about each piece. She has a gift though because the first couch she showed me is the one I liked best!
They also help you find delivery and each person I texted answered me right away. The first response was able to deliver same day! However all of the delivery businesses were able to deliver at least next day. Delivery went great.

Very limited options and most of which are plain, boring, aren’t expressive like the clothing I see in most UO stores but I know that is a company problem not a problem for the location. Prime real estate in downtown Asheville.
