I can say nothing but good things about A1 motors. The prices are great , the vehicles are very nice and well maintained. The customer service I received was AMAZING. I would def shop there again and recommend 100 percent to anyone. I’ve been to many and this is by far one of the best

My 60 year old Mom really needed a car. She went to A1 on the fly and was convinced she was getting a deal.Within 2 days of driving off the lot, the check engine light came on. She didn't have the means to get back to the dealership for about 2 weeks. The owner "fixed the issue" and sent her on her way. 2 days later, the code returned. After taking the vehicle to a private mechanic, it was discovered there were several parts of the engine held together with zip ties. It's very clear the owner erased the code and sent her away. The car was deemed unsafe a month after purchase. Today my Mom returned and was told "why are you giving me this headache" and the owner proceeded to raise his voice to my 60 year old mother. We will be taking a partner with WRAL 5 On Your Side to tell our story. I really wish we read the reviews first. While we understand used cars will have problems this was clearly someone taking advantage of someone in need. The owner has offered no resolution.

I don't usually post reviews online but I'm pretty mad.I drove about an hour and a half to get to this place because from the pictures online it looked like they had good cars. The first car I test drove was a 2014 Ford Fusion that overheated WHILE ON THE TEST DRIVE. That should've been the first red flag. The second vehicle I tried had to wait to have the battery charged because it was dead. The car I ended up buying, unfortunately, was a 2006 Lexus ES330, and drove pretty smoothe on the test drive. It seemed to only have some cosmetic issues (ripped leather in the seats, minor dings in the hood, etc) which I could live with. However, maybe 10 minutes after driving it off the lot, the check engine light, traction control light, and vsc light came on. The car started shaking so bad I thought it would cut off. I managed to get it home and I called the dealer the following Monday (I bought it on a Saturday) and was told to clear the codes and see if they come back. I took the car to have it diagnosed at advanced auto parts and they gave me 6 different error codes that i have to fix. I also was only given a valet key which I didn't realize until after I'd gotten it home so I have no way of getting a master key which means I can't lock my glove compartment or trunk access. I was told "if we find another key we'll mail it to you." Neither of the rear windows work. I had to call the dealer 3 days after my 30 day tags expired to ask where my license plate was and he hadn't even mailed it yet. I still don't have the title almost a month and a half after I bought the car. I had to put a new battery (which had connections so corroded and rusted that one of the screws just snapped in half while trying to remove it and i had to hammer it out), tires, and spark plugs in already and I'm probably going to have to replace the brakes as well. This car was not worth what I paid for it and before long I'll have put more into fixing it than I originally paid for it. I wish I'd never done business here. Definitely would only recommend to an enemy.

10 out of 10 DO NOT recommend! If I could give ZERO stars I would. I’m hoping to save someone from the same mistake I made when purchasing from A1 Classic motors. The vehicle I purchased from here gave me nothing but problems. It drove nice and smooth on my test drive. After taking the vehicle to get an oil change my mechanic informed me that the vehicle needed a repair with the price of $100. At that point I had the car for about a week and noticed no further issues and for the great price of the car I didn’t mind. But within 3 months of owning the vehicle I put over of what paid for the car (around 6,000) in repairs. Year two of owning the vehicle the timing belt went out and it needed a new engine.

Stay away from here. I do not usually spend the time to leave reviews but I wanted to save even one person from the same experience its worth it. I bought a vehicle here 6 moths ago because it was a great price and looked in great condition. I drove it around the block and it ran great but I should have gone further with it.1. After purchasing I noticed the temp gauge doing strange things. Then the check engine light can on and the truck overheated. I got the codes read and they had been deleted to cover this up. I got it to the shop to find the thermostat was bad ($800).2. Next the traction control light came on and errors started popping up on dash. Turns out the BCM is fried and errors had been reset ($1000)3. Next the lights for 4x4 were not coming on and they assured me it was a $50 controller that was causing that but it still would work. 2 weeks after buying the entire transfer case seized up ($3000) and the TCCM had shorted out ($600)After over $5000 spent on a truck not worth much more than that the final nail was when I took it to Jiffy Lube around the corner from A1. I was hanging out with them telling horror stories of all my issues and how I must have just gotten a really bad lemon. Only to have them tell me A1 brings in their cars almost every day asking for codes to be reset and check engine lights turned off so customers don't see the problems before buying. Please save yourselves the headache of a lifetime and stay very very far away from here.
