Update, 12.1.23: I did have 2 stars for this but had to change it. I was told that the hold could be waived for a small amount of the deposit, to call customer care. This would mean I could possibly get something to put as a deposit on a car which I desperately need. Keep in mind, both the lady from yesterday and the EMAIL FROM BofA now state it will be 12.6 when I get the deposit available. So at 9am I called. I got a woman, i explained the situation and the purpose I was calling. She looked up the information on my account. She then explained how holds work in a condescending tone, which I knew already, and that my funds would not be available until 12.8!!!!!! I asked for a superviser. I'm not even lying when I say that this woman was absolutely rude and very hateful. I AM DONE WITH BANK OF AMERICA. As far as the little bot that replies to negative comments with oh contact us on twitter for help with this....If you can't uphold the ORIGINAL timeline for my deposit then DO NOT bother. Unless you can go into my account and give me MY money that the expectation was set for on 11.29, THEN DO NOT BOTHER. Talked to the "help" on Twitter...they pretty much said deal with it. Again, I get it's a hold. I understand what a hold is. This bank does not care about it's customers, honesty, transparency, or accountability. I shouldn't have gotten so much different information. Get your act together, please. This has 100% sealed me leaving this bank since they can't honor their own timeline.----------------------------Usually I have a pleasant experience here and no complaints. However, yesterday (11.29.23) I went in to deposit a check. Everything went fine. I was given a "notice of hold" slip from the teller. It had 2 dates on it, 12.1 at 5pm and 12.6 at 9am. She said the remainder would be available today, 11.30.23, by 5pm or maybe later. Everything seemed good, I was happy and satisfied with the expectation set by the teller.Fast forward to 9pm (11.29.23). I get an email stating $x will be held and available on 12.6, then yet another email at 3am stating the same thing. I thought this was odd so I called customer service for BofA around 5pm. I spoke to a lady who looked everything up after telling her the information I was given and placed me on hold. So she comes back to say the emails were an error. Alright..."So the schedule I was given is still correct? I'm not seeing the deposit portion that was supposed to go through today." She then informed me that the error was I received the email twice. I asked what that meant as far as the deposit clearing timeframes. She said I would not see anything until 12.6...I get that there is a hold at any bank if you deposit a large check. I'm not upset about that. It is the expectation from a bank teller that I would have a portion of the money today and again tomorrow. This is what bothers me. I'm not upset at the branch in particular, but BofA as a whole. When the check does clear I will be moving my money elsewhere. I've had enough dealing with the incompitence of BofA.

I would say if you are black and you HAVE to do business with Bank of America, skip this branch and go elsewhere. I’ve banked with this bank for longer than my kid has been alive. I’m very humble and dress for comfort rather than style. When I have come in to get cashiers checks for my rent, the teller would always have something to say about how low my rent was. Implying that I must be getting assistance for the remainder when that wasn’t the case. I just had a great landlord who wasn’t greedy. They looked right through me at this branch. One day I came in to let them know that a large deposit would be coming through my account the next day and to see what all I needed to do. They say me in a room and ignored me for 45 minutes. No doubt by how I was dressed, they didn’t think very much of me. The very next day when my deposit went through, I went in dressed like how I always am. They took one look at my account and all of a sudden their lead banker was calling me into her office and being so sweet and offering me all of these amenities trying to convince me to let them dictate how I use my money. I pointed out the hypocrisy, transferred all of my money out, and left. I keep the account open in case I need a cashiers check and for nothing else so it’s mostly empty. I would come in often to make deposits for small cashiers check amounts and they were always so so rude. Didn’t matter the branch, they act like they’re God with your money. Yesterday I walked in to deposit another large check. The cashier looked stunned and took issue with the fact that the address on my license wasn’t the same as on the account because I’d moved since opening the account. She acted syrupy sweet when trying to convince me to open a CD and when I told her no, I hey told me my check looked fake and put a 12 day hold on it. When I asked her why it looked fake her response was “it wasn’t drawn from Bank of America.” Because apparently they’re the only ones who can issue large checks? I’d just sold my car to a local dealership and that was the reason for the large check drawn from their bank. As soon as my hold is lifted, I’m going to transfer my money out and officially close this bank. These tellers and bankers judge people by their appearance and race. It’s disgusting really and I fail to understand how all of the worst humans in the world can be located in the same branch.

There is nothing indicating middle lanes are closed, yet they are. I just sat there waiting and no one had the courtesy to come over the speaker and mention they couldn’t serve me in that lane. I then waited in the only teller window open for an incredibly long time. Seems like there is just two employees serving the entire bank, drive up and inside. Some variation of this story happens every time I’m here. Makes me want to move my business account to another bank.

Just as an example, the middle lane of the drive-thru has been nonfunctional for eons, but nobody would know this because there is no notice of this nor is there a cone blocking this lane to divert traffic from waiting for service there, etc. I have mentioned this numerous times to tellers who respondby saying they "will let the manager know". But alas, nothing has ever been done. This is just one example of my grievances with this BOA!!! And, the service is VERY slow probably because there's not enough help.

Both machines were under maintenance and it makes no sense while I am unable to withdraw money. Can’t you fix one and have the other maintenance going on?Time to change the bank!

By far the WORST customer service. I am a black man who went to the Fuquay Varina BOFA for a Notary. The first person told me that there was a notary and the lady behind desk said there was and took my name and said there were two people ahead of me. Assistant Manager Saira Hanner came out and told me there is No Notary. I replied with, the two people before her said there was. She said I would have to go the the Post Office and use a Notary there, bring back the receipt and I would be reinstated the $10.00. I did that. I also noticed 95% of the customers and employees were Hispanic. Myself and one other were black. I mentioned to Ms. Hanner that a Hispanic couple came in after me and are now being seen by an agent. She said they went in before me because they were opening an account. Myself and the other black man were told the same thing and were told there were other customers ahead of us and it would be a 45 minute wait. There is obviously a Racial Problem at this bank. Latina Ms. Saira Hanner should be relieved of her duties. And to the person who responds to these reviews, do you have a a real name?

Got turned away from depositing a cashiers check because I did not have the same or more balance of the check in my account. All I was doing was depositing. This is entirely false. How do the employees not even know the banks policies?

They were nice before covid, but now they don't care anymore. Never, ever pickup a phone. Useless voice response system too. 2 stars, because they were 3-4 stars, bit now the are as good as out of business.Update: standard answer from this BofA branch to use Twitter to contact them. I am not on Twitter and the canned, standard answer instead of solving the issue is so typical of the fast demise if this branch the last 2-3 years.

Horrible service! They kept redirecting me to the automated service which was impossible to have a real person to speak with. After the third time they tried to redirect me to that, I got upset and they claimed I was rude. So they twisted the fault to me. They did not want to speak with me and they told me to call another branch. Note...the manager let somebody else answer. For 3 times I have been very nice with them, but after that and have been fooled...I think I had all the right to be upset!!!!I contacted another branch and gently, they easily connected me with a real person and gave me the answers and help I needed. It could have been done, but not from the Fuquay branch.

Worst customer service ever at this bank. Waited 25 minutes for one teller just to make a deposit. When I complained to one of the associates he simply walked away from me. I stopped by his office to ask his name and tell hiim he was rude to me, he said it was Taylor but he didn't have to give me his last name. Nobody cares about customer service at this branch.

Literally the Worst Bank Ever! I've been here maybe 3-4 times and it's always the longest wait time. They never have enough staff.. and seem to be completely disorganized l. I'm sitting here writing this review in their waiting room, and I have an apt with one of the workers here, and what do you know.. I'm still sitting here waiting and it's almost 30mins past my apt time! Unbelievable.. who manages this place!? I can't wait to switch banks.. this place is ridiculous!!

WORST banking experience ever! Waited in line over 30 minutes to make a deposit on behalf of a mutual client, felt like I was at the DMV instead of a bank. I am really unsure as to why anyone would bank with Bank of America. In our area over half the branches are temporarily closed, The ones that are open either only offer lobby service or ATM service. I have never had such issues depositing funds in my life. Horrible bank. I personally bank with the Fidelity Bank, I guess I have become accustom to quality customer serv
