I am currently stuck at a gas station over 200 miles from home because of this pep boys! Last weekend I took my car here for the second time for the same reason- my engine light is on and it takes a few minutes to start my car when I fill up gas. They told me that they fixed the problem. I trusted them and took my car on the road because I had a death in the family and I'm on my way to a funeral. My engine light is back on and since I had to stop for gas, I'm stuck here until my car is ready to turn on again. It is almost midnight! I am not happy!!!

Customer service was good. There was polite, honest about my car When my check engine light came on, they told me bring it right back, but they can check it out

The absolute worse place to do business. The service work is fine but the customer service is terrible. My son waited 4 hours to have a tail light bulb replaced. He was told it would be one hour at 12 noon and his repairs were not done until 4pm. He asked if he should come back later and was told if he did they would not replace it. He's 17 and had no idea what do so he waited. I was out of town so he felt he had no choice. I tried calling the store but no one would ever answer. I even called their corporate office and they would not answer for them. I have 5 sons, all with cars as well as my wife and mine. We have done business with Pep Boys for years, but the service has gone downhill. We will never go to Pep Boys again, anywhere for any reason. If I could give negative stars I would. This is unacceptable.

My experience was amazing I booked through a third party just for an oil change, the app was giving me issue and the front deck salesman Lu was absolutely amazing and patient. I would most certainly come back and recommend them to someone else.

I had nothing but a bad experience dealing with pepboys. I had tires installed December 10th 2023 after leaving my steering wheel was shaking violently after my truck reached 45-50 mph I returned to have my tires looked at and balanced again everything seemed fine then the same exact thing happened again anytime i would go over 45-50 mph my steering wheel would shake violently. I made another appointment this being my third visit. My appointment was at 5pm on a Friday I show up around 4:50 and talked with Lou at the front counter and he tells me the technician in the back is too stressed to look at my truck that day so I would have to come back at a later time. I finally had enough and took my truck to bishop tire and auto and was in and out in about 30 minutes they found my right rear tire had a broken belt. I got them to put what they found in writing and returned to pepboys to have the tire replaced. I arrIved and talked with lou and he made a warranty claim to replace the tire. He originally told me they had the tire in stock and after 20 minutes of waiting in the lounge he came a notified me they did not have the tire in stock that they would have to order it from a store in Charlotte. So this makes the fifth time I had to come back all over something the technician could’ve caught on the second visit but I guess the technicians are careless, also the manager Michael is very unprofessional talking to customers over the phone. If I could give this place zero stars I would, overall terrible experienceTo any customers reading this i would recommend going to bishop tire and auto in mount holly where the technicians are honest and aren’t slimy

Well my 1st experience was pleasant,got a alignment but car was still shaking so I took it back,than check in and drove car to back then a guy took keys and left with car for about 30min,so I tell the Manager, because we Outside heyy call that guy see where he is,and guy didn't answer so he went inside,to have them call him so I walk down to a store next door to pepboys,come out car is finally back,I say what u find out he say u have a nail in tire I'm like u been gone 39min in my car and big is that nail is I would have seen it,so than I call corporate they offer a 10%discount, which I feel differently isn't enough for already brand new tires,and corporate never called me back because for one I feel like he shouldn't had been gone in my car that long,and 50% would've been sufficient because, I never seen a nail in my tires before going there and I'm sure the tires would had been flat before I went down there,long as that nail was,and was soo noticeable,how could I had missed it

Called to ask what was a realistic time frame for repair.They were very honest and told me it could be an hour or maybe 30 additional minutes due to the fact if they had to remove cover part to get to the issue. Reason for this review, I had another appointment same day with another shop when asked the same question their response was could be an hour could be by close. WHAT? Don’t like inconsistently. You guys had me complete in 1 hour exactly as you stated. Super friendly and very knowledgeable.Will be making this my go to shop for my vehicle needs.

The staff seems to be very nice and courteous. However, after purchasing 4 new tires and having them mounted and balanced I noticed the car driving a bit weird. The TPMS had the following readings: driver front 47 psi, passenger front 32 psi, driver rear 45 psi, passenger rear 43 psi. Something a simple as tire pressure was so far off that it really makes me question the entire process.

All those people who rated this place 2* and above, you are either lying or were service by some great people. My experience here was worse than terrible.I booked an appointment with Pep Boys at 3028 E Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28056 on 10/10/2023 for 10AM. I reached at 9.45am and dropped the car by 10am. I was told I would get a call/sms when the car was ready. I went to a few other stores. After for about 1 hour 45 minutes for an update, I went back in an enquired for an update. The car had not been touched. I was rudely told that the car before mine was still being worked on and that I would have to wait. I was okay with that. But then, the person in another counter told me in an even ruder tone that they were backed up by days and that I'd have to leave my car there for a week.At this point, I was utterly disappointed, so I decided to take my car elsewhere. I thought I would check online to see if I could go to another Pep boys location. I found an appointment online at 5020 South Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28217 on 10/11 (next day) at 12.30pm. I took the vehicle there and told them about the leaking coolant and the puddle of coolant in my garage floor. They suggested that I do a coolant leak test. They did the test, couldn't find anything. They then suggested a 20 point inspection. I agreed. They did the inspection and then the result was that they could not find the main cause of the leak. So, after 4 hours of waiting in the store, I ended up paying for nothing.The "experts" at Pep Boys then suggested that I take a video and photograph of the leaking (in their words), "in the act". I took the vehicle home and the same night I saw a puddle of the coolant leaking from the car. I took a video of the coolant leaking from the car. Then, I called pep boys at south blvd and told them about the leak and that I had evidence. At this point, the car was leaking even more than it did. When I inspected further, the pep boys at south blvd has taken off the engine cover under the car and had forgotten to put it back. I asked them if they had an appointment and they said they could not look at the car for atleast 2 weeks.I took my car finally to a local auto repair shop and they immediately told me what the problem was. The car was ready the next day. I am extremely disappointed and annoyed with the service these so called experts provide.
