“Typical Dollar General. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Easily accessible with plenty of parking. Everything you need from toiletries, shirts, crossword puzzles, balloons or just a drink and a candy bar. Public bathroom, just ask for the key. Tight isles from all the stock. Staff may be busy and not at the check out, just grunt out or cough loudly and someone will come help.”

    4.3 Superb 43 reviews

“This is not your average run-of-the-mill Family Dollar store. It is actually one of their combination stores, with Dollar Tree. It is a huge store, and has the best items from both Family Dollar and Dollar Tree! It was well stocked, well staffed, and very spacious and clean. If I did not live so far away, I would visit regularly! Highly recommend.”

    3.6 Good 86 reviews

“Okay store, I've been going here for years. Stock is really low on some things right now but I'm sure that is due to the tariffs. The Craft section is essentially low FYI. Cashiers have always been friendly and I always come to this particular Dollar Tree but I'm going to be going to the new store over on University and Shattalon where the old Walgreens was. It's a beautiful clean store and only my loyalty has kept me at this location. I do recommend the other location if I'm being honest.”

    1025 NC-772, Pine Hall NC 27042

    4 Good 9 reviews

“I have been a regular customer of the Dollar General of Pine Hall since discovering it last year. Compared to the other DGs near me this one is always very clean and has everything I need. Every employee that works here has always been very friendly. Also love how close it is to my house and that they stay open until 10pm which makes it so convenient. My only complaint is that like Helena King said in the previous review before me on here, they really should have ice in stock which hopefully they will get eventually. Other then that I've never had a bad experience at this store and is hands down, one of the best Dollar Generals in my area. To the employees, keep up the awesome work!”

“Very clean and neat store for the most part. There are some products that need to be pushed forward and organized so you know how much a product is. This is coming from the fact that I have worked in retail a lot. Friendly staff, and prices are as expected! Excellent little general store to buy cheap stuff at!”

  14. Dollar General - 6915 Doral Dr

6915 Doral Dr, Tobaccoville NC 27050

    2.9 Average 69 reviews

“I have stopped at this Dollar General location frequently. In terms of stock and cleanliness, it compares well to other stores in the area. The store typically carries what I expect to find. My main concern is the inconsistency in customer service. While some employees are helpful and professional, other interactions have felt less welcoming, particularly when asking for assistance locating a product. The experience can vary depending on who is working at the time. Overall, this location is convenient and meets expectations, but more consistent customer service would noticeably improve the experience.”

  15. Dollar General - 1035 North Carolina Hwy 65 W

1035 North Carolina Hwy 65 W, Walnut Cove NC 27052

    2.8 Average 57 reviews

“This is a solid store. My first visit was this evening and it is your smaller store, the oldest standalone ones you find. With the space they have, it was well-layed out, nicely stocked, fairly clean and nice people. It has clutter like almost every one of these stores does, but it isn't nearly as bad as it could be. I wish it were torn down and rebuilt so they could fit all items they need. If not, it is a good store.”

    2.2 Poor 66 reviews

“This Dollar General used to be like so many of them, disorganized, poorly stocked, dirty, staff that didn't care. It's almost expected in these stores. In April this year Sherry came to our local store and wow, what a turn around. Everything changed. Everybody here actually takes pride in their job. This store is clean, well stocked, and the staff seems happy to be there. When have you ever had a staff member come up and volunteer to help you find what you want? Great job to whoever hired Sherry! Best Dollar General I've ever been in!”
