Grocery Stores
“Rosemary is such an asset to your location; I left a bag in a cart after checking out and she ran all the way down the parking lane to make sure I didn’t leave it behind.
Thanks so much!”
“Omg this place is literally what it says it is. They have fresh candies u can buy old fashioned style, like jelly beans or chocolate covered coffee/Expresso beans. They have a fresh bakery, tarts doughnuts cakes and pies. U can make ur own almond butter Walnut , cashew , butters for real it grinds up ur fresh nuts into a 1/2 lb 1 lb tub. Ok so what else, juices dried fruits and candies. Stuff I didn't even know I wanted to try. And it's also a usual grocery store ur dairies and meats. But so much merchandise u never see at other markets or grocery vendors. A wider more desirable provision of foods and confections.”
“I go to sprouts every week when my kids attend gymnastics at little gym, we like to pick up bakery goods like muffins, or rotisserie chicken for a quick dinner (it’s delicious!), or I get sushi, or chocolate covered nuts from their snack area (I love they have such a nice variety of treats, and even have a clearance area near the restrooms that has good treats or coffee on mark down!). The cashiers are always nice and I like there’s a small eating area and two tables outside (though there is sometimes people smoking at those tables so I usually just eat inside).
The general prices are higher than say food lion, but I like there’s selection of more natural based or organic choices and interesting specialty items or items for dietary restrictions. For example, they have a decent selection of gluten-free baked goods.”
“I love that this grocery store is always clean and well stocked. Their best, most welcoming and helpful folks work the butcher counter, the bakery, and the produce. Their worst are at the coffee station. Which is a pity because their coffee is great!”
“Great option for quick lunch solo or small group, the deli & salad bar has mostly vegan options to grab and go or eat in their simple indoor/outdoor dining room: The Vegan Steak Quesadilla & Tropical Bliss smoothie made for a great brunch on their patio!”
“Great little meat market with all the little jars of hard to find pickles, jellies, jams, spreads, etc. They even have all those penny candies, lemon heads, which o sticks, squirrel nuts, butterscotch.”
“my favorite place for mexican food in greensboro. I love horchata.
The menu is very simple but that's okay. Normally, I eat three tacos of tongue. All tacos come with a lemon on top. They have many types of tacos, cakes, etc. you can't go wrong haha
if you want authentic food, you go here”
“Very nice and friendly people! They have a huge selection of goods that you might have a hard time finding in other Filipino locations. It is definitely worth the visit as I have not had had pandesal in a hot minute. Two thumbs up and definitely support your local Filipino grocery store!!”
“This store is just okay. I have been to other ones that are much cleaner and well-lit. The produce is very hit or miss, but mostly miss, which is a location-specific issue. I do come here every other week because it’s very close by and I like a lot of the Aldi brand stuff. I’ve been buying the Irish butter, which is basically Kerrygold, and I will never stop”
“All I can say is great quality, food prices are exceptional, not trying to rape a hard working man go u shall see for yourself, all produces are fresh an great too”
“If you like muffins, this place has amazing muffins the size of a small dog's head. Many amazing flavors available, including what seem to be seasonal ones.
The store itself is almost always clean, and the selection is always great to choose from product wise.
The only major gripe I have with this store isn't anything they do, but more an effect from a service they offer.
The bar, while solid in theory, has attracted a rather awful crowd of human beings that I have overheard constantly mistreating and verbally abusing the bartender.
They also raise the noise level of any area they dwell in (Not limited to the bar area) by a multitude of levels. The topics overheard are not usually ones most folks would care to hear, either.
My personal favorite is when they get a drink in hand and wander the store solo, or in pairs, still chugging that drink like it might run away any at moment like the child that went off to college and never calls now.
They leave trash all over the store, and they constantly abuse and mistreat the workers there. Being bumped into by people near the bar area or the bakery where they like to post up on the benches is never fun, as they look at you like you kicked their puppy.
If you read this, and you are guilty of the above, please understand that we judge you for being terrible humans who feel the need to treat service workers like garbage while you get tipsy and perhaps even drunk at a Lowe's Foods. Do better.
That being said, I know and understand not everyone is guilty of the above, and the employees are saints for dealing with that and still maintaining the friendliness they do.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.”
“Love the store! I have only been a couple times but always find the items on my grocery list. Both times the cashiers tho, I felt like they were mad or something, and that makes me feel uncomfortable. Just saying.”
“Great salad bar as well as the hot bar sometimes they have hard to find items but they didn't have sliced hog jowl for my new year's day dinner we are in the south and hog jowl is a staple for new year's day”
“I ate a yummy salad from the salad bar today. Sorry, I ate it before I thought to take a picture. I also bought some fusion apples, anjou pears and bananas (.49 per lb). I looked over all the frozen items, especially the ice cream. They have the tiny Haagen Dazs containers for $2.19. That's perfect if you want just a taste. Too much of a good thing can lead to carb crash for me. I like the $5 meal days they have Mon thru Friday. I'm putting a photo of the sign but I know you can find details online.”
“Great prices. Some items I wanted were not being sold. Great for most of the standard items we use regularly, including produce. We sometimes lose stuff that become staples due to occasional cycling, but still our go-to grocery store.”
“Very much sold out the last two weeks.
Hope they'll restock soon.
They have good stuff and the meat counter looks delicious ?
Keep in mind you might end up spending your whole paycheck”
“Quality and authentic options. They stock some amazing Asian products at really fair prices. Love coming here to get hot pot ingredients, dumplings, and baked goods.”
“This is one of my favorite FoodLion locations to shop at. They always have enough employees on the registers, plus they have four self-checkout registers as well, so even if they're busy, it's never a long wait to checkout.”
“Lidl's is by far the best place to buy groceries. Prices are less than every other grocery store; especially on sale items. Would give 5 stars, but they closed my store in Thomasville and now I have to drive to Jamestown ?”
“Such a wonderful store. Jori in produce is amazing. I love her attitude and warm smile. Her customer service is top notch. She makes you feel right home. You can tell she cares about her work and her customers. She makes shopping at Lowes fun and inviting. She is a ray of sunshine.”
“It's my fav spot for gas. If you're buying groceries from Harris Teeter, then you should be using those fuel points here. If you're looking for a conventional gas station, this isn't it, minimal products, but I go for the gas prices.”
“It's always a pleasure to shop at Food Lion .The staff are always so personable and professional.Food Lion has become our #1 store for our food shopping needs .”
“I enjoy shopping here. I really like the things I can find here. Make sure to read the labels. Yes they do have English. Add some different flavors to your next stir fry.”
“I really enjoy this grocery store. The only thing is the don't carry the large bags of foodlion brand artificial sweetness? Please get done in? I cannot drink nothing but koolaid , I've got alot of intestinal issues. High analysis herinad, ulcers, and can't have no carbonation what so every”
“There are a lot of African food items and meats and fish. Well organized. Friendly staff. Very helpful. Plenty freezers with meat, fish, veggies, etc. I would recommend stopping by to stock up on African essentials for cooking.”
“This is a great spot to pick up local food and drink from a local business. The store is clean, well organized and the employees notice you and ask how they can help. They have a very large selection of NC and regional craft beers from all your favorite breweries such as Southend, Oden, Foothills, etc. Yesterday I was looking for a great new red wine to try and used their descriptions and ratings. I was really pleased with the Ferrari red I chose and felt they were spot on.”
“I stopped by at this store Saturday morning to pick up some fruits and vegetables on our way out of town on a camping trip. I had to get something out of one of my external storage compartments. While in a traffic slowdown on I40 west of Asheville the car next to me told me one of my storage doors was open. I had taken a few things out at Harris Teeter and forgot to put them back in and close the door. So I called the store (about 4 hours later) and was lucky enough to talk to the store manger. He listened to my dilemma and said he would go out and look to see if the contents of my storage compartment was still in his parking lot. About 15 minutes later he called my back and said he had found my stuff and would hold it until I returned next Friday. That’s service! It’s a tribute to the high quality individuals employed by Harris Teeter.”
“The People at this store are so nice, friendly and helpful. The store manager, Perry, is awesome. A great demeanor and hard worker. Food Lion stores for the most part are great but these folks really standout ???”
“Great place, great customer service. The store has a variety of West African food products. We drove for more than 35 minutes to get there in order to buy the exact ingredients we needed.”
“We were in the area and stopped in here. The store is very clean and the staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming! The produce and meats look very fresh. They have some unique products. (Thanksgiving flavored potato chips and pumpkin spice wine cocktail) The prices are reasonable. Easy to get to and plenty of parking spaces.”
