Went here awhile ago very nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. This place is actually the old Moses Cone textile factory they reinvented this into an apartment complex and has eatery restaurants. Please call ahead to reserve your seating and be on time!Parking: For wheelchair or ambulatory issues there isn’t a lot of parking spaces accessibility. This is one reason I gave it 4 starsWheelchair accessibility: Only a few spaces I mean a few a longer walk for people with ambulatory issues

The food is really fresh and tastes great. Appetizer portions are large enough for meals. Soul rolls are great.Varied seating for small or large groups. Love that the preserved some the mill to make the restaurant! Excited about next time.

I have never seen bacon this good before, we had to come back the next day to get it again while we were in town.

I love the ambiance of Kau. It's chill but classy. I went for a business networking event with the Vela Foundation. I loved the event and loved the appetizers they served. They had buffalo dip, sausage dip, artichoke dip, meatballs, salad, veggies, chicken salad, chicken tenders, brownies, and cookies. It was truly a top-tier experience.

Tried out the butcher shop attached to Kau. Their selection of meats in the case was really nice. Great USDA Prime cuts of beef, pork belly, pork chops, ground beef blend, and chicken. They were pretty busy for a Sunday, too! We are glad we stopped. I can't wait to cook what we purchased!

Reservations recommended but we have been twice without and not waited too long for early dinner. 3rd visits total. Everything tastes good but not quite awesome. Still searching for the dish that makes me happy dance. The bacon appetizer is fire but not a meal.

This was my first visit here and was very impressed with the lay out and its location. We had a fairly large party and called ahead for reservations. They have a large amount of seating upstairs and downstairs with a full bar area . Everyone at the table ordered a mix of things . Prices are a tad high but I guess that’s expected with inflation. So many menu choices which make it hard to decide. My dish fell short with the flavor profile I ordered the steak salad which really didn’t have any taste . But I tried a little bit of everyone’s dishes . The pulled pork Mac n cheese was delicious. The ribeye steak was good could have used a little more flavor but it was cooked perfectly. The ahi Tuna was good but also could use another flavor element to elevate it ( maybe a drizzle of something since the Tuna is a tad dry. The wedge salad with grilled shrimp was simple . The salmon my aunt ordered looked delicious . All in all food was good, for the most part everyone enjoyed their meals and although the service was slow I know a lot of restaurants are running short staffed so I sympathize for that .

Great food! But look at the receipt they charge you for a soda water or tonic if you get it mixed with your drink? Lol like what?

Food was great as well as the atmosphere of the restaurant. The only negative part of our experience was our waiter. His attitude seemed to change after we did not order anything expensive or anything that he pitched to us before taking our order(which was seafood and steak). However, the table next to us, that ordered seafood and steak, got the same great attitude that the waiter started off with prior to his pitch about their steak and seafood specials.

By far one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve had. Had to eat it with a knife and fork! The bartender who served us wasn’t great, but it didn’t affect our experience all that much.

I have been here before and it was so good I decided to take my son here last night, I ordered ribeye, potato fingerlings and green beans for me, it was delicious, he ordered a burger and mashed potatoes, he said the mashed potatoes were the best he’s ever had. The atmosphere is great!! I read reviews here before going and thought I never had an issue and decided last night to give it a try anyway, well we arrived and it was Friday night around 6:45pm, should have called ahead because we were told it would be 45 min wait and we did wait 45 min so then we were seated and ordered, the only complaint I have is it took a long time to get tea refills, the service was lacking. Now I admit my son drinks a lot and I have dry mouth but it took us til the food came to get refills, we had to ask several times for tea, it doesn’t seem like a big deal but my ribeye was $66 and the bill for both of us was $119 and we got dessert too but paying this much we should get better service. I’d give 5 stars if it wasn’t for service, it seems like waitstaff had big parties which was their focus, my recommendation is to have more waitstaff especially when they have big parties, also don’t have 3 to 4 hostess when you walk in that give time and seat you when a table is ready, they could have been waiting tables instead therefore providing service even if they were just walking around with a tea pitcher and refilling drinks. I will go again because the food is grreat!!! The atmosphere is great!!!! I’ll give them another try to see if I can get tea refills in a timely manner next time.

Really excellent location and atmosphere. The service was slow. I got a 56 dollar NY strip, and unfortunately it seems the kitchen has never heard of seasoning. Both the steak and fingerling potatoes had practically no flavor. Highly disappointed after the high praise and recommendations from friends.

Collard green dip was very good.Sausage dip was cheesy but a bit flavorless. I don't taste sausage, just cheese. Buffalo mac and cheese was a huge serving and very good. Meatloaf sandwich was tender but lacked flavor but the fries were perfect.Update: porkchop was like butter! The side of gravy was french kiss perfection.Chicken Philly was awesome. Also, get side gravy to pour over and dip fries. You're welcome.

Hidden gem, I've gone to many butchers around the country, and this place is my favorite. Great quality meat and other foods like bone marrow, pork belly ( burnt ends was great) duck breast, and oxtails ( which are perfect and full of meat, not just fat and bone). I've had the whole brisket, which was perfect. Im actually going to get another for this Easter Sunday. The bone marrow was liquid gold. And probably my favorite is the full bone in beef ribs. I thought Lamb chops was my favorite cut of meat, but Kau won me over with the beef ribs. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and what i like most importantly it isn't one of those butchers where it's like " what you see is what we have." Talk to the butchers and inform them on what you're looking for, and they'll help you find what you're looking for if its not in the display window.
