I recently visited the Macy’s store at Friendly Center, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to the behavior of a cashier in the dress section.
From the moment I approached the register, she was unprofessional and rude. She made inappropriate comments, including questioning whether I could afford my items and saying, “You don’t want to hurt your little pockets.” This was not only uncalled for but also incredibly disrespectful.
Additionally, when I encountered an issue with my store credit card, rather than assisting me, she used it as an opportunity to belittle me with snarky remarks. Her attitude only changed once a manager became involved.
As a first-time customer at this location, this experience left a lasting negative impression. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one has discouraged me from returning to this store in the future. I hope Macy’s takes customer service seriously and addresses situations like this to ensure a more welcoming environment for all shoppers.

Understaffed, store was a mess, and items were not clearly priced our labeled. More confusion than anything else.

Customer service is non existent went to get my wife some makeup the lady at the counter was more interested in her phone conversation than helping us she literally looked at us continued talking on her phone and walked off i really hope this location is one they close in 2025 I will NEVER step foot in the store again and I will be contacting corporate office

I was looking for a formal gown which they didn’t have much of a selection or a range of sizes. Anyway, I find a dress and standing in line there’s the rudest, not so friendly cashier with violent red hair smacking on this gum like she just gave up smoking today. She has sweetest old lady as customer and just rushes through her. I see one the nicer 2 cashiers about open up and they hand over return right in front of us. So Cheryl smacks her gum that is irking me (made me give up chewing gum unless by myself). We get up and she is so nonchalant until she asks my mom if she’d like to upgrade her Macys card and my mom says yes. Cheryl was replaced by a new Cheryl helping my mom get through this credit card approval so fast like my mom can’t read or don’t have a fully functioning daughter right beside her like she’s too afraid for to change her mind. She was kissing booty throughout. I hate that, someone so crappy until someone has money and they turn like that. I would’ve preferred getting service from the other 2 who were genuine through their customers experiences. The only reason I gave a 2?is because my mom LOVES Macys.
After reading recent reviews I had to change because of the customer service my mom said she received for the perfume counter she was looking for and the ridiculous pricing of it.
I don’t know who’s in HR but they needs to do better and whoever is the buyer has no fashion sense. These “5’s” sprinkled in won’t keep saving you!! JUST DO BETTER!!

Not the Macy's we used to know, not much selections, seems like a Ross store, we were interested in perfumes, the sales person not very helpful and rude to my wife, we left very disappointed.

Talked into applying for Macy card with 30% off on todays purchases only after buying and reading fineprint discount limited to maximun of $100.00, what a scam! This store not neat, not one chair to sit down durning outfit changes by family member. Determined the reason is Macys is agraid employee may sit down. There NO chairs! Last year after buying $1,000 plus in gifts, I waited 20 minutes for employee to search for a coat box. Was finally given a large box cardboard box big enought for a small tv. I thanked the employee that had searched for me but sat it down at the door as I was leaving. The store is only a shadow of what it was in the past. Suggest we all find a store with upper management that cares! Obvious Macy's does not. I feel like I was scamed and I hope not to go there!

In this store they did not receive things that I bought and wanted to return because the size did not fit me well, the excuse they gave me was that they did not return me because I bought on special. Since 2016 I had a Macys credit card, today I canceled it, I'm not interested anymore, I like that they respect my rights even if it's a penny... I never buy there. I was traveling from Eden North Carolina to this place, no more, until never, they lost not one client, but several clients, I felt very discriminated against today in this place, the business is done by the clients! Repeats of very similar dresses, if you’re looking for a certain style it may be hard to find. Smocking seems to be a big thing these days, I’m not a fan. Makes dresses look cheap to me. There aren’t many “in between” styles for those not quite formal events, also not casual. It’s either silky formal type or cotton/poly/smocked babydoll type dresses that are really short.

Big beautiful store. Customer service at Jewelry counter was lacking. I came in to swap a pair of earrings I bought online because received damaged. Lady was not rude, but was lacking customer service. like she didn't have time or I was a bother.

My go to place for suits! I’m 6’7” and clothes are hard to find but Macys always has clothes that fit and prices for name brands that will make you blush! A big fellas haven!!!! Look on line also!!
