When I called the tow yard, Nate & Evan were very professional, respectful, kind, very understanding, who answered all my questions plus worked with me to get the vehicle towed to my home in SC (2.5 hours)! It was a dark and stormy night in Jamestown, NC during the great blizzard of 26. Snow was everywhere! We were up to our grills in powder, yet i chose to brave the storm for reasons not worthwhile in retrospect. The All-wheel functionality of my Toyota Rav4 Hybrid paired unfavorably with my questionable competence in driving through such treacherous conditions, so it was only all too inevitable before i met my match in the form of a snowy-covered driveway with a ditch next to it. Snow piled so high i couldn’t tell the driveway from the ditch beside it, but roll the dice i did, and came up snake-eyes. After a arduous and lengthy battle across the ditch, over the front yard, and through the trees weaving a tale of valor fit to be told even among the legends of the Knights of the Round and King Arthur himself, traction was finally obtained on the other side. Would that it could have been the end of that story, but i had to leave, which meant a second round with my concave nemesis. It must have learned quickly from our last bout for i didn’t stand a chance. It was over in a flash, my car deep within its ditchy jaws. All attempts to remove myself met with failure as the storm raged on. Cold, wet, and covered in shame, i sent word for help to the kingdom of Progressive who secured my release through local mercenaries EZ Towing and Recovery. I was told it would likely be hours before they could arrive. Consigned to my fate and questioning my life’s choices, my phone rang with a fateful tone. Hope at last, as i was contacted by my rescuers, Danny and Rico. Smashing all estimations, they arrived in a fraction of the time. Despite learning that Danny was a priest of the illustrious Church of Toyota and that i had angered the Toyota gods by representing them ultimately with failure, grace and forgiveness was nonetheless bestowed upon me and i was uplifted from my plight (winched as they say the colloquial era) both figuratively and literally. The ditch put up a valiant last-ditch effort to claim both parties, but justice and goodwill prevailed and, most importantly, their countless years of quality service and immaculate performance proved to have no equal. I thanked them profusely and abundantly. Making promises to carry their names through my potential future yet likely never-to-be children, we parted ways, perhaps never to meet again, but i will carry this experience in my heart as i seek to better establish and dedicate myself as a follower of the glorious gods of Toyota and the responsibilities that lie with it, but should i once again fall short, i know without a doubt that i may call upon their generous mercy in the form of EZ Towing and Recovery to save the day regardless of whatever diverse form of adversity has taken me, as i would encourage the rest of you to do as well. May they (the staff entire) live long and prosper to the end of their days.”
