“Definitely worth a stop. Lots of fun vendor stalls, everything from clothing, furniture, toys, housewares, books, and more. Plan to spend at least an hour browsing!”
“When I lived in Wilmington, I loved going to Baker Street. Friendly, helpful and honest vendors. The owner was always friendly and willing to help.. I loved wandering through the shop. Sometimes it took two walkthroughs to see everything. I often found something …sometimes I was looking for just the right item and sometimes I found some treasure I didn’t even know I needed. Pricing was very very fair. Selection was ever changing. It is an amazing shop. Now that I live out of state, I still love looking at their posts and videos. We need a place like Baker Street here in Central VA. Maybe Baker Street Two.”
“My heartfelt gratitude to Kaye the wonderful owner of Port City Peddler. She was so gracious with me and showed me the beautiful collections of paints, transfers,
molds and stencils. I bought Amy Howard's book and love it. Can't wait to try her Miracle paint. It was a great inspiration to begin my journey in Furniture Artistry. I brought a bag full of goodies. Thankyou to Allan and Gina for all your help. I am so blessed to have discovered this special place with amazing people!”
“Love visiting uptown market there is a ton to look at in here and I never leave empty handed. I’m always finding something for myself or a friend! They have a ton of local vendors in here with some unique products”
“Great place to find any antique or vintage items. Price is fair but not for me as I am a reseller. If you need something for yourself, it will be perfect, but if you are a reseller, dont bother.”
“If you’re anywhere near Hampstead, you need to stop into this locally owned antique painted furniture shop. It’s one of those rare places where every single piece feels like it has a story.
The furniture is truly one-of-a-kind—beautifully painted, thoughtfully restored, and full of character you just don’t find in big box stores. The quality is incredible, and the prices are honestly even better. It’s hard to believe how reasonable they are for pieces that look this unique and well done.
What makes it even better is the feel of the shop itself. You can tell it’s owned by someone who genuinely loves what they do and takes pride in curating special finds rather than just filling space.
If you’re looking to add something with charm, personality, and craftsmanship to your home, this place is absolutely worth the visit.”
