“Best book store in town. Bar none.
The owners are extremely helpful, kind, and passionate about books.
The organization of the sheer amount of books they have, combined with the limited space is remarkably incredible.
I always find something I want in multiple genres when I go.”
“You could get lost in here for quite a while looking at all the different items that the vendors have to offer. This place is right up our alley as we don’t particularly like stores full of fine china that make you anxious to even look at. They have a good selection of items to look over.”

“This is a must visit every time I'm in town. My favorite place to pick up a new deck, and their selection is always refreshed. There is something new to see each time, I could spend hours in there. At my most recent visit, Tabitha and the other person at the register (their name slipped my mind 😭) were very helpful, as the staff always is!!”
“This place is awesome!! There are little shops in the back...each one different. If you are unsteady stepping up take a cane of a friend to lean on.😁 So worth stopping in to browse the shops. OH and stop by the coffee shop...they make a fabulous cream soda float!!”

“I purchased an item and had an unexpected complication with it. The folks at Cape Fear Jewelry and Antiques went above my expectations to make it right and make sure I was satisfied. They are wonderful to work with.”
“My heartfelt gratitude to Kaye the wonderful owner of Port City Peddler. She was so gracious with me and showed me the beautiful collections of paints, transfers,
molds and stencils. I bought Amy Howard's book and love it. Can't wait to try her Miracle paint. It was a great inspiration to begin my journey in Furniture Artistry. I brought a bag full of goodies. Thankyou to Allan and Gina for all your help. I am so blessed to have discovered this special place with amazing people!”
“Azalea Antiques is a very pleasant antique shop and on my list of “best” antique shops that I’ve been to. Great selection, pleasant lay out, clean and comfortable. Filled with great finds and the staff is super friendly and high vibration. It’s a nice antique shop and they allow you to take your time and they have a rest room which has lately become quite rare … so we basically just shop here when we are in town, and we always find gems!”
“I absolutely love this store, I have found so many treasures here and the staff is so amazingly wonderful! If you love antiques or you are looking for unique/ nautical accessories and or gift items, check this place out!”

“Martin Custom Woodworking did an outstanding job repairing a dining table for me. Their service was very timely. Not only did they pick up the table, but they delivered it when the repair was completed. They understood the sentimental value of my table and definitely exceeded my expectations with their service.”
“Lovely shop with furniture, decor and gift options. I hate I’ve passed it by without stopping for so many times. Stop and take a look around. You won’t be disappointed! Owner is very friendly, and being greeted Flossie was a bonus!”
“First time visitor. Nice little place with cool and unique finds. I had never actually seen a place with old photos before and spent a little more time than one probably should have going through them because it was so fascinating to see how much the times have changed. Aside for that haha, this place has something for everyone and we were quite amazed at the diversity of such antique items. There are two rooms, with the first one being the larger, main one. Didn't get a chance to talk with the owner but he seemed like a nice guy. My party and I visited on Sunday afternoon.”
“Great place to find any antique or vintage items. Price is fair but not for me as I am a reseller. If you need something for yourself, it will be perfect, but if you are a reseller, dont bother.”
“The Vintage Marketplace is such a cute and fun place to visit! There is so much to look at, with a great variety of unique items, vintage finds, art, paintings, and interesting booths. It’s the perfect spot to wander around, browse, and discover little treasures. Definitely worth stopping in if you enjoy shopping and exploring charming local markets!”
“When I lived in Wilmington, I loved going to Baker Street. Friendly, helpful and honest vendors. The owner was always friendly and willing to help.. I loved wandering through the shop. Sometimes it took two walkthroughs to see everything. I often found something …sometimes I was looking for just the right item and sometimes I found some treasure I didn’t even know I needed. Pricing was very very fair. Selection was ever changing. It is an amazing shop. Now that I live out of state, I still love looking at their posts and videos. We need a place like Baker Street here in Central VA. Maybe Baker Street Two.”
