“Renting this space for hosting a STEM event for my business Genetics On-The-Go in support of kids in the area. Very responsive, easy to work with, and very helpful.”
“I've been a patron of McGregor Hall for years now. The auditorium is located in Henderson, NC, and seats about 1000 people. It is well cared for and always clean. I have sat in most of them now and not found a bad seat. I do have particular areas I like better for the type of show offered. The acoustics are great.
I first discovered McGregor Hall in Henderson when a Big Band I follow, The Fabulous Equinox Band was scheduled. I was surprised that Henderson had a performing arts center, but I decided to check it out. It is in a building that shares space with a library and is next door to the police station. There are two parking lots and street parking. Parking is free, too.
The lobby isn't large, but the theater doors open at least 30 minutes before the shows. A concession area has $5 popcorn and $3-$5 beverages. They have candy too but I am not sure of those prices. Some performances have alcohol. There are plenty of restrooms that are very clean.
They seat assignments are easy to figure out. The right is 100; center 200 and the left section 300. Then the rows are letters.
The shows offered are of top quality. They recently had Sweeney Todd, Bridges of Madison Fish, The Play That Goes Wrong, and Cattapult Shadow Dance.
The ticket prices are reasonable for the venue and performances. It is a wonderful venue and a great part of bringing the arts to the area.
The staff is friendly and helpful. I'm thrilled I found this gem in Henderson, as I love the performing arts, which gives me another venue to see performances.”
