“This is a wonderful little nature preserve with nicely laid out Trails and good views, and a decent elevation change without being overly strenuous. If you're a trail runner, you can get in an excellent 5K here. Parking lot will maybe fit a dozen cars, and there are rarely more than a couple.
I should repeat that this is a nature preserve, not a city park. Don't expect facilities, trash cans, etc... whatever you pack in, pack back out! That said, there are nice picnic tables for a quiet lunch. There are comfortable benches along the trails at key viewing points. The hilltop, near the parking area, is pasture that was let go fallow several years ago - making it a fantastic wildlife habitat teeming with birds and butterflies and bunnies and deer and foxes, etc... on a warm spring evening. I highly recommend just sitting in silence in the late afternoon sun, and listening and watching.
Also, along the trails, when the leaves are off the trees, you can see a wonderful wooden railroad trestle - not many of those left!”
“Thankful for this place & the wonderful people that work there. I am so very grateful for ACIM, I don't know how my family would make it without their assistance. ?”
