If I could leave no stars I would. We just moved into our new home in September. Our builder selected this company for our propane. My husband took the initiative a month ago to turn in the paperwork needed for auto service. The two ladies were more concerned with chatting to themselves than assisting my husband. A month later my husband goes back to check in on the service because no one has come by to fill out tank and the ladies in the Hertford office said we were all set up. Well, today, the night before Thanksgiving we ran out of gas. Normally I wouldn’t be so upset but this should never have happened as we were on AUTO FILL. That is what we signed up for. We call the emergency number which sends us to a guy who doesn’t even work in Hertford and is on leave of absence ( great guy by the way) who sends us to another guy who states we will need to pay an emergency fee of $300 on top of our gas fee because we are Will Call service and not auto fill. This has been a nightmare. If the ladies in the Hertford office knew how to do their JOB they are being paid for, this would never have happened. No matter the cost we will have this tank removed and go to a company that has great customer service and does their job to begin with So incidents like this do not happen. Poor quality. And by the way, the emergency phone number on your recording in Hertford goes to the guy who is on a leave of absence so you need to fix that. And, get a website. Who doesn’t have a website?

After 18 years of being customer with relatively good service ( I would rate at five stars) I finally have a complaint. On morning of12/27/22 I called for lp fill and stated tank was at 20%. On afternoon of 12/29/ 22 called again and said that tank was at about 15%. Was told that they were very busy and short handed but would put in other another ticket with 15%. Here it is morning of 12/31/22 (Saturday) and still no delivery. I forsee now the earliest delivery to be Tuesday 01/03/23. My tanks are below 15 %. Luckly the weather has warmed up so consumption has gone down. 1/11/23. Got my propane delivery today. I raised my original rating from 1 star. because I have been a customer for a long time and this is the first major problem I have had. The drivers are great. Hopefully the next request for a delivery will be less troubling.

I had 100 gallon tank at my house and they decided to bring me a 50 gallon tank with a broken gauge. I’m supposed to be on auto fill but here we are at the end of December and I haven’t had my first service this season. Their customer service sucks! They don’t even answer their phones. Good luck if you choose this provider!

Ask for lp 12/19, no gas yet 12/26. Tank on 19, furnace has to be serviced if run out. Emergency phone no. NOT Reed Oil Co. , no way to contact after hours.I called 12/24 said lp be hrre, Not.Been customer over 20 yrs. VERY disappointed. Phone no now for emergency 619-6285. Is Reed. Earlier I got 619-6265 from auto message.

Called over 2 weeks ago to get a refill, tank was at 30 percent. Now below 10 percent on a Saturday. Hope we make it till Monday to call again.

If you live in northeast North Carolina and need a great hometown gas company to service your home or business , look NO FURTHER . Best cash prices hands down . They can fill your camper or grill propane tanks , install heaters , keep your home or business tanks full either on a call in or rotation . Rhonda in the office is the most helpful service oriented person to speak with . Bob and Garry are the owners . Can't find a better family to have on your side when you need this service .
