I have a 13 yr old lab with joint issues and they made me feel completely comfortable that they could get him groomed without issue and they sure did - went above and beyond and even helped me to the car. Also did my long haired young shepherd and he looks amazing. Experienced and caring - excellent groomer.

Paw Tales Lodge & Spa

Everyone has been so professional, kind and knowledgeable from the time you walk in the door to when you pick your fur baby back up. At Viewmont they wouldn't listen when I told them I thought he had Cushing's disease. For two years I had him there for not sleeping through the night, accidents in the house, chugging water, and getting sores all over him. Dr. Bill listens. She really goes above and beyond and her staff is just as amazing. They treat you like family.

Animal Hospital North
27 13th Ave NE, HickoryWe grew up and started our family in the area. I joined the military and we moved away for a few years and now we are back local. Our usual vet was Dr. Hill, the 1st one all the way through the younger one. We had good relationships with all of them and their employees. Upon returning, we weren’t welcomed kindly at all and decided things obviously have changed there and did not want to deal with that.
We searched and called this Vet. The staff on the phone was quick to get us an appointment which is really what we needed, quickness. The dogs needed to get a full check up with a new vet since moving.
When I arrived at the appointment the front desk staff was really just plain rude and unnecessarily short and left me guessing if I needed to sit down? Stay there? Answer questions? Where did I pay when I was done because no one said anything? etc.
The vet (Dr. Gruber) and our Vet Tech (Jessie) were great to work with. I really enjoyed them and I feel they were absolutely incredible with Max. I couldn’t be happier with that level of care. They really gave him a good once over which is what he needed.
Pricing was fair considering the amount of care Max needed. Time in and out was great, no wait (other than at the counter wondering what to do, where to go, and who to talk to).
I’m willing to put up with a little “uncalled-for sass”, if the vet is good with my dogs. I'll consider staying for now because of that. I hope they read this and make some changes with the people up front such as training, “encounter reviews” on the cameras, etc.

All Hearts Animal Hospital
1205 Old Lenoir Rd, HickoryI brought my very sick Syrian hamster Minnie to be seen. They diagnosed her very quickly and unfortunately she had to be euthanized. I was treated with nothing but genuine kindness and compassion, and so was she. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience during such a hard time. And they made such a beautiful clay mold of her paws. I highly recommend All Hearts if you need your hamster to be seen.

At Blue Skies, your pet's examination and most treatments are performed in the same room. I really like and prefer this method. They will give you all the options for treatments / sometimes surgeries, but they do not pressure you. Blue Skies is definitely the Preferred Veterinary Hospital in Catawba and surrounding counties!

Mountain View Animal Hospital
3346 S Hwy 127, HickoryI truly don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am for Mountain View Animal Hospital. They stepped in and helped my dog, Sampson, when another vet office originally did nothing for him. As a pet owner, that feeling of not knowing what to do or who will help is heartbreaking — and they changed that for us.
The doctor was incredibly patient, compassionate, and knowledgeable. He didn’t rush us. He took the time to really examine Sampson, explain everything clearly, and answer all of my questions. You can tell this isn’t just a job to him — he genuinely cares about the animals and the families who love them.
Shadow, the vet tech, was so kind and gentle with Sampson. She made him feel safe, and she made me feel heard. In a stressful situation, her warmth meant more than she probably realizes. The front desk receptionist was also so welcoming and caring from the moment we walked in.
When your dog is hurting, it’s emotional and scary. This team treated Sampson like he mattered — and that means everything to me. I’m beyond thankful for the care, compassion, and professionalism they showed us. I wouldn’t trust my dog anywhere else.

Neat spot, good atmosphere. We sat inside. The cashier stared at us the whole time and asked us to hurry. They told us we had a limit of an hour inside. We didn't question it and left. This was 3 years ago. Could of been my new favorite coffee spot. Have not and will not be back.

The butter chicken was delicious and the chicken vindaloo was perfectly cooked. Masala chai is the way to go if you like hot drinks! Highly recommend for the vibes alone!

Everything was very tasty - with the exception of the bottom of the paella. The socarrat (crunchy bottom crust in paella) was burnt. Not crispy - burnt. It's the way par of the paella if done correctly. Service was really great. And all other items were really good.
