“This is a bittersweet moment for me. These ladies have been here for my daughter and me since she was one and a half years old; she is five now. They made being a mom and a single mother a walk in the park. Everyone always assisted me with love and embrace. I would start my day knowing that my daughter was in good hands and she was amongst amazing women. Each person brought their own sparkle to the room. They prepared Unity (My Daughter) for school but also life. They helped me to raise such an amazing, powerful, empathetic, resilient, funny, stylish, happy, energetic, loving, affectionate, respectful, and well-mannered young lady.Unity and I are really going to miss you ladies. I can never really repay what you all have done for me and my family by supporting me through all my little crises. But you all made parenthood a walk in the park for me. Thank you for always making time to hear my concerns, put me at ease, and for loving my baby (I know she is not a baby, but she is my baby, hahaha). I was so amazed at how far she has come with all of you putting in the hard work. You guys have been like her school mommy and have assisted me to raise her well. “My child has been going here for over 6 months and it has truly been great! We have seen how much this daycare has grown and it has been a smooth transition. They make a point to speak with all of the parents and really focus on the kids' strengths. The director, Ms. Tovia, has been such a great person to communicate with about all of our needs and concerns. She brings a really nice sense of happiness to the place. Ms. Kiana and Ms. Keisha have also both been wonderful teachers, who care and really help the kids advance in their skills. I really appreciate how well kept up they are on their cleanliness and sanitation methods. They have every child wash their hands before interacting with any other kids or playing with anything in the classrooms. Every evening at pickup, I see them sanitizing they're rooms; toys, tables, chairs, counter tops, bathrooms; and even washing all linens used during that day. The workers who work in the younger classrooms, are very couscous and wear coverings around their shoes anytime they exit their room. Overall, the staff here has really helped my child and helped reassure me that they are in good hands.”

“The Sunshine house is absolutely the BEST. They are not just a childcare provider but family. The director is amazing, she is extremely hands on with all the kids. I can honestly say the staff here goes above and beyond for all kids and parents. Every single teacher puts effort into their classrooms. “Being new in High Point, and in these very troubled times, I felt that it was important to find a church that not only I would like, but, also, that of my son too. Well, I found that church in Wesley Memorial Church in High Point. The leader of the church is a very kind and caring person and my son was even enjoying the preaching that we received this last Sunday that uplifted the spirits of both my son and me. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and the church itself is absolutely beautiful with it's amazing stained glass windows that reminded me of my days growing up in England and attending the village church there. I felt so at peace there, and my son did too.”

She is almost 2 1/2 now and we could not have asked for better. The staff is unmatched and my daughter loves them all dearly. They cared for my daughter when I was a new mom and learning myself. My daughter has thrived and learned so much and has the biggest personality. They have embraced her during all the stages thus far and made her feel loved. “Appleville Academy is one of the best daycares around. My kids love it, it’s very diverse, and in a very reasonable location. They always throw events for the kids, like birthdays, holidays celebrations etc. They have been consistent and very helpful through the pandemic. They always make sure they are checking the kids temperature and keeping it safe clean for the workers. My kids come home all the time with cool looking projects they have done in class. It’s a good feeling knowing that they are always helping the kids become more knowledgeable each and everyday. Appleville is a great and safe place for kids.”
