“Had the least expensive gas in town with a parking lot you could actually get into. Plenty of pumps and space to drive and park. It was really busy but still no problems getting in and out even with all the cars and people down for the fourth of July.”

“Love this store. Run by people that you get to know because they're always there. It's also easy to get in and out because in general it's just locals that frequent this store. Also gas is generally cheaper here. Support your mom and pop joints to keep them around for future generations to enjoy.”

“I thought this was a beautiful, clean convenience store. The staff were smiling and friendly and the bathroom was clean. There was ample parking and they had a great selection of things. They have a hot food bar, too.”

“The cashier was friendly. The parking lot could be a lot better, I wouldn't recommend anyone with a large vehicle or trailer to try to come here for gas. I'm not too sure how the gas does.. since I only got enough to make it home & then finished filling up somewhere else the next morning.”

“Store was very clean but what I was most impressed with and wasn’t expecting was a very clean restroom. It actually even smelled good lol The woman at the counter, Rowna, greeted every customer that came in while I was there. She has a beautiful and friendly smiling face. I like to shout out when I see others doing a good job and this place should be recognized! Thank you for a clean restroom! It’s so appreciated when traveling!”

“Well-lit, very clean, 24 hours, auto diesel, and very COURTEOUS staff. No longer stopping at the nearby truck stop style stations on ocean hwy when this is obviously the far-better option.”

“I’ve lived in hold for 15 years and this is my go to store because of Dawn. She does her job well which is hard to find these days. No one wants to work. She know what needs to be done and gets it done. She’s very knowledgeable about everything. She’s such a wonderful person and human. She puts a smile on my face every time I see her. I love coming to the store every morning and having a daily chat with her. If she ever left I would stop coming to that store. She’s the only one there with a personality.”

“Overall, it's not bad. Parking was a breeze, nice wide space, and arranged for smooth exits. Above average service. Bathrooms, not so much, they needed a proper cleaning.”

“Staff is courteous and helpful. The drive-thru is usually busy during high volume hours, which is expected, however I have noticed walking inside the pharmacy line is shorter or no one at all. No complaints”

“I love take 5 oil changes! I’ve lived in many states and all across the board they offer top notch service. As a young adult, I would go in for top offs before my next oil change and they did this free of charge. Now, as a mother of three small children, I cannot bring myself to go to any place that does not allow us to stay in our cars. When the new take 5 opened up in shallotte, I was so happy! The staff was incredibly respectful, helpful, considerate, and thoughtful. They offered me a cold water right away and when they saw my 3 littles, they were given fruit snacks. Service was speedy and super helpful! Would definitely recommend!”
