We were at the OBX this week and planning on staying 3 nights at the Ramada Plaza. The hotel is outdated and could use a deep clean. Our room needed to be painted, the carpet needed to be cleaned. A used wash cloth was left hanging up in the shower when we arrived. The toiled seat needed to be replaced and was scratched up. Our sheets for the bed had stains on them. We requested someone to come take care of the sanitary issues and after 30 minutes of waiting we requested a full refund and left at 9pm to go stay at another hotel. I highly recommend NOT staying here. The only good thing about this hotel is the location with beach access but there are several other options for the same money..
Rooms: Dirty and need a deep clean. They did not change the sheets or clean the bathroom before our arrival. Unsanitary.

OK, it is not a 5 star hotel. As many have said, it needs a face-lift. We had the rusty bathroom door hinges and a difficult entry door. But not the bed bugs, musty smell, or pet issues (I refuse to stay in a pet friendly room) that others report. Water pressure was awesome and king bed was quite comfortable. It's location, location dude. Direct access to the beach, a tiki bar and an indoor pool for anyone that comes to the ocean and then not swim in the ocean. Front desk staff was swamped but still pleasant. Some people complain about the $10.95 buffet breakfast, but just an apple fritter across the street at 7 eleven is $2.49. I felt we got what we paid for in a destination like Nags Head.

Rooms: The rooms are very nice the beds are very comfortable and the service is great and for the money you can't get any better. Enjoyed the stay and will definitely be staying there again.

Location was good, staff member who helped us seemed very irritated in general. Room was extremely over-priced, especially for a city facing room. Our room needed updating.

Great place bar restaurant and indoor pool. Easy access to beach. Service was great got I’ll and had to leave a day early and they understood and gave me credit. They also called and let me know my room was ready early which was really good. Fourth time staying here and will definitely be back.
Food and drinks: Bar outside on the ocean. Indoor pool and jacuzzi was great
