This antique store is now open again. I've seen construction going on for months and today I saw all the lights on and decided to stop. If you see the lights on just stop and say hi. It's bigger and better than before. I spent a long time in the store and still didn't get to look through everything. My coworkers will be happy when I tell them Red Bird Rare is back in business. It was great to see the owner again. She actually remembered me. She has the cutest Christmas stockings for sale that are made from vintage quilts.

We were told the store wasn’t open and that the owners were remodeling. It is definitely OPEN again. The store is much bigger than last year. One of the nicest antique stores I’ve been to. I usually sit in the car when my wife goes in to do her browsing, but I like going into the Red Bird. The owners here actually talk to you and let you know your visit is appreciated. We’ll be back before we leave town. It’s getting dark and I want to come back during daylight to see all the rusted yard art around the building. We left tonight with a few things my wife just had to have. Matilda the dog is still around keeping watch over her palace. Good dog.

What a phenomenal little shop! The woman who owns it is just the sweetest lady- she's super friendly and so excited about everything in the shop. There were so many items to see and at great prices. We found a few perfect surprises and will definitely be back!!

Visited Rare Bird Red Antiques in Kings Mountain, NC...what a wonderful little shop owned and operated by Jewel and her two dogs. The oars (there was a pair) were incredible at about 35' long. Not sure what type of boat they were used on, Jewel said the story she got was they came from the Viking era.

The owner, Jewel, is the sweetest lady!!! I came in today, while my husband was at the casino, looking for some different things because I like to upcycle old dolls. She has so many beautiful vintage finds!!! She takes care in displaying it so cute you'll just want to take it all in while you're there! I'll definitely be back when I drop my husband off at the casino again!!!

What a surprise! Great things come in small packages applies here! You have to look more than once to see it all. Good stuff inside and out. Jewel has an eye for unique vintage style and if you don't see it, ask her-she may have it. Jewel knows the history behind so many of the items, which I love. I really enjoyed talking with her. She is a delight! We will be back.

Newly opened antique store in town. Rare Bird Red Antiques. The store is located in the same parking lot as Overman's Storage Buildings. You won't miss it. You literally start shopping in the parking lot. The owners have been collecting for years and there is something for everyone. There is even cool artisan soaps made by a local business. The shop is cute and the owner was willing to let me haggle a price with her. There a 2 mascot dog's named Matilda and Sheba. Sheba is 10 pounds of sugar in a 5 pound bag. Good girls. I'll definitely be back.
