“I had a very different but positive experience at this mallards. We were on our way to smithfields in kinston nc with our food trailer to serve the employees lunch and dinner. We pulled in to mallards to fill our propane tanks when we got stuck in the dirt. The gentleman that was there did everything he knew how to get us out. Then a mallards truck pulled in . The first gentleman retrieved some c h ains. Hooked us up to the truck and we were on our way. Call that southern hospitality all day long. Thanks to the two gentleman that came to the rescue.”
“We stopped here just to make a restroom stop for the children. We bought nothing. On the way out of the store, the cashier wished us a good day with a smile. We thanked him.”

“The staff is polite and friendly. The store is really clean. There is a good group of people who work and hang out there. The prices are reasonable and there is a good selection of items available inside the store. Gas prices are comparable to other stores in the area.”

“Beware of card scanners at the pump ..if it feels loose when inserting the card go to another pump . I got $20 in gas and it came back as $120.00 ..but it was 2 or 3 weeks later I got my statement and as soon as I saw it I knew they got me because then I remembered how I was having to adjust my card .”

“Regular little gas station. East pull in easy pull out. Has all your basic needs that a gas station was. Wasn’t any homeless or sketch people outside which was nice? well maintained.”

“People travel long distances to get these cheese breakfast biscuits. There's only two or three places in the whole state that makes them like this, and this one's the best. Country ham, egg and cheese, sausage egg and cheese or bacon egg and cheese is the best. The tenderloin and gravy biscuits are good too, and they have good fried chicken sandwiches at lunch.”
