Our family cannot say enough wonderful things about First and Main and the incredible team behind it.

Just 40 days before my daughter's wedding, we received devastating news from another venue that had already taken our money—they informed us that we would no longer have access to the venue for her wedding day. We were heartbroken, stressed, and scrambling to find a solution.

After my daughter shared our situation on social media, the event manager from First and Main reached out with kindness, compassion, and a willingness to help. From that very first conversation, we knew we were in good hands.

The owner, Jenny and her event manager Christy went above and beyond to make sure my daughter's special day was everything she had dreamed of and more. Their professionalism, flexibility, attention to detail, and genuine care turned what could have been a disaster into the wedding of her dreams.

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful—elegant, welcoming, and the perfect setting for a memorable celebration. My daughter wanted her reception to be a family reunion event and it truly was. Every guest commented on how stunning the space was and how smoothly everything flowed throughout the evening.

“Incredible atmosphere to hang out socially with friends. Also, if you are looking to improve your game, there is no better place. Dave has such a great knowledge of the game and has the ability to translate it to the golfers he works with in a digestible way.

“The team at the Durant Nature Preserve and the Campbell Lodge are wonderful! They made the entire rental process run smoothly and answered all our questions. They do have some specific rules for use of the Campbell Lodge, so make sure those are okay for your event before renting. We were able to have a beautiful event without any issues with the venue! For the Campbell Lodge, make sure guests navigate to the correct address at 3237 Spottswood Street. The lodge is not accessible from the Durant Nature Preserve main entrance. There is plenty of space in the Lodge, provided tables and chairs, and a large warming kitchen, ice machine, and walk-in cooler. The check out process went smoothly! We will definitely consider renting the Campbell Lodge again for future events!”

“I had my 40th birthday party here and can’t say enough good things about this venue! The Events Manager, Lori, was amazing from start to finish! I had so many friends and family coming from out of town that I paid a little extra for her to completely decorate the room for my party. She asked me what colors I wanted to use and went all out with my theme! With the food I ended up deciding on getting some hot entree trays and setting up a buffet style meal. Lori let me rent her catering equipment and even got a couple servers to come in and serve the meal so that I knew everything was sanitary for my guests. I was able to have a great time with my guests because Lori and her staff took care of everything! What started out as a party that I was going to set up and decorate myself when I had rented just the room stepped up to the next level by adding on the services of Lori and her staff! It may have cost me a little extra but I have to say it was well worth it! I would definitely have another event here!”

“We had a great stay over the winter storm weekend at the end of January. The staff were all incredibly pleasant and helpful.

The room was pretty big and very clean.

Everything was closed because of the storm so we ate at the restaurant a few times. The burger was great, and the awesome bartender made a great margarita. For breakfast they made us the artisan sandwich on a wrap and were very accommodating in substituting turkey sausage for the bacon.”
