This place is where my daughter's insurance covers her meds. It's not fast but they tend to have her medicine in stock.

Rated 1 out of 5 starsI went online to see if they had something in stock they did. It was for $3.50 when I got to the store the same item was $10. Asinine 70% more in the store. So I continue to order online. I have a gift card but when I went to check out it says I can't use the gift card for online orders. Must be in store only. What the heck? No other store is like this. Money is money isn't it? So why can't I use my money on an online order.

I want to give a shout out to a pharmacy tech, Makaela, when I called yesterday (11/4/2023) I was routed to the call center and the lady that I was originally was speaking to had an attitude from the beginning, told me that the profile didn't have any meds ever filled by Walgreens and after going around in circles with her she suddenly saw all the prescriptions that either had refills on them or were originally filled by Walgreens. Then she told me that she would do what she wanted to do because she can when it came to putting in a refill for a medication. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she actually transferred me to the store instead. Makaela was the one that answered the call and immediately was able to pull up the profile and see ALL medications that have been filled and/or had refills. She helped me get everything put in for refills that needed refilled as well as listen to me complain about the young lady that I spoke to at the call center. Makaela handled everything with a very professional attitude and even though it wasn't her that I had an issue with, she apologized several times on behalf of Walgreens and the pharmacy department. Makaela is definitely someone I will ask to speak with from this point on to take care of my pharmacy needs!! Thank you again Makaela, you rock!!

Been here twice. First time poor customer service at regular checkout. Second time excellent customer service at pharmacy. They need to be more selective about who they hire.

Lauren, at the front register was so sweet to me. She updated my information and showed me an alternate way to use my chip debit card. Thanks Lauren! First week of October, day shift.

Was told "you called the call center to fill the prescription, they don't know what we have in stock."I've called the same way for 2 years at any other location of walgreens. I always call the pharmacy and always make sure it's the pharmacy. They told me they would fill it yesterday but never got notified. So when I call today to confirm, the rude tone and attitude wasn't needed. Nor was the "we haven't had that for months" logic doesn't make sense because they filled it LAST MONTH without an issue. Corporate needs to do a visit to understand how a place can be run so poorly.

I called because my prescription was canceled with no explanation. Kirby answered the phone and I told him what happened. After pulling my account he said that my insurance isn’t willing to cover my medication. I said that I just went through this a month ago and had my Primary Care doctor to call and get it situated and that they approved it. Very condescendingly he said, “I see that, but this is what it’s telling me now and they don’t want to approve it. I wish I made the rules, but I don’t and you’re going to need to figure it out.” So I paused for second in anger, said thanks and disconnected the call. I don’t understand why he needed to be rude, when I was just trying to get my medication situated. Especially considering I was just explaining that my doctor got it situated literally a month ago to date. Will be going to a different pharmacy from here on out.

We recently had ANOTHER frustrating experience with this pharmacy, Walgreens 1250 Fairview Drive, Lexington, NC, as of today this makes seven (7) times to date. My wife received a phone call that her medication (pain meds) was ready for pickup, so we headed over to the pharmacy to pick it up. However, when we arrived, the pharmacist informed us that she had to wait one more day. This was incredibly frustrating, as we had planned our weekend travel around picking up the medication and now had to rearrange our schedule. Additionally, it was disappointing that once again the pharmacy couldn't provide her with accurate information about when her medication would be ready.Overall, I am disappointed with the FREQUENT unprofessionalism displayed by this pharmacy. I hope that they can work on improving their communication and customer service in the future. We are currently in the process of changing our pharmacy choice with our healthcare provider.

I cannot fathom how many times a place can mess up and still be busy. I guess it’s because they are the only pharmacy around besides Walmart. Walgreens continues to mess up my prescriptions. They always blame it the doctor’s office even when I see it is not their fault. I have had to make three trips up there already for one of my prescriptions just for it to be wrong each and every time. I let it go and let it go but I finally had to to be rude to get them to listen to me. The last few years have been one mistake after another. The wait times are ridiculously long and you have to keep going back time and time again for them to get everything right. I canceled a prescription one month told them I didn’t need it anymore. They said okay and said they took it out. My son stopped to pick up my prescriptions and they gave him that one again the next month. Why they gave me that one and another one together that I got in place of the one I canceled is beyond me. You can’t take both of them! This place is beyond aggravating. Find another pharmacy people!

I called to get my Symbacort and was told that it would be ready after 5:30. I went about 7:00 and was told it looked like it was not in stock. I made an unnecessary trip. On top of that I didn’t get my inhaler. Your answering system doesn’t work, it don’t jive with reality. Your rating is not all that good, I think the object is to improve and you really need to start improving.

The staff here are always rude, unpleasant and inefficient. I found myself at the drive through FOUR different times in one day due to their lack of communication and organization. The first man told me to come back in an hour so I did. When I arrived later a woman said they only had one prescription ready and that I “should be upset with my doctor because she didn’t include instructions.” She told me to “call them myself” to get directions on how to take the medication, she then slams the phone down and just leaves. I come back again later after I called my doctor and then they called them-like they told me to. Then the same woman tells me to move because I’m holding up the line (this is after they told me to circle back and get back in line!). I come back later and deal with yet another person who starts to defend the behavior of the other pharmacist. I kindly tell her I just need my prescription and ignore the argument she clearly wants to have. I felt like I was in the twilight zone.I was literally disgusted leaving that pharmacy after the way they treated me-and this isn’t the first time. I’m not sure why I’ve continued to go there for 7 years. And the fact that I am writing a review about a pharmacy tells you something :)

7.26.22- I am not sure what has happened to Walgreens or if they were always such a horrible pharmacy. This location of Walgreens continues to deliver the worst in customer service. I have been using this pharmacy for 2 years and they have all my co-pay cards in their system, yet every time I go to pick up my prescriptions it is this long wait while the pharmacy tech fumbles thru the system trying to find my co-pay card!!! This time I even called the day before picking up my Rx to make sure the co-pay card was applied, yet it was not. The pharmacy staff is so sadly unorganized, inefficient, unprofessional and rude. A customer shouldn't have to hold the pharmacy staffs' hands to get anything done! THANK GOD I am getting new insurance soon that utilizes CVS Pharmacy! I hope to never darken the door of Walgreens ever again and I hope they finally reap what they sow and go bankrupt and close!!!FYI if you read any positive feedback about this store it is most likely fraudulent and "FAKE NEWS!"This store has the worst pharmacy I have ever seen. Since I have lived in Lexington, one employee utilized his knowledge of my medications in an online forum to harass me- HUGE HIPAA violation and just last week when I went there for my COVID booster they refused to give it to me even though my doctor called it in and I asked to speak to them in private in the back room where they administer shots. The staff wanted me to reveal my PHI- private health information in front of a lobby of people- another HIPAA violation! Now this morning when I called to check on a prescription the rude girl I spoke with said it needed PA- prior authorization and I said I have been waiting on them to get it for over a week- as they always have in the past. I used no foul language or negativity towards this employee, but she just hung up the phone instead of doing her job! Horrible, horrible place!! Do NOT trust the employees to be professional or to keep your PHI private. I am already asking my doctor to send my rx elsewhere.....BTW don't think Mike the head pharmacist will be of any help as he enables his staff to be incompetent and unprofessional! I am ashamed for all of you! Please look for other jobs perhaps stocking shelves where your lack of ability in dealing with the public will be appreciated.....

This pharmacy has never been the best but here lately I do not know what happened? No one knows anything, wait times are horrible....always wrapped around the building it's just an all out horrible experience. Started going to the Walgreens on hwy 64 and it was so refreshing to see them actually know what is going on and not have to wait an hour!!!!

They never answer their phone, so I always have to go there in person for any inquiries or to be sure they are going to have enough meds to fill my ongoing monthly prescription. They don't seem to care about their customers.
