I am writing to strongly commend Alex in the pharmacy department for going above and beyond to help me during a stressful situation.
I had been trying to fill a recommended over-the-counter gas relief medication for my 1.3-pound guinea pig, who was suffering from bloat. My veterinarian had suggested an adult soft gel product, but after hours of waiting for the vet clinic to call me back with safe dosing instructions, I turned to the pharmacy for guidance.
Alex immediately caught critical issues regarding the active ingredient concentration and realized the suggested adult dosage was far too high for such a small animal. He recommended switching to a baby gas relief formulation instead and carefully calculated a safe, conservative dosage based on my pet's weight so we wouldn't risk an overdose.
Thanks to Alex's quick thinking, knowledge, and genuine kindness, my guinea pig was able to get some relief. Sadly, he passed away 12 hours later, but Alex's dedication to patient safety—even for a small pet—meant the world to me during a difficult time.
