Drove 30 minutes to get a hotdog on Sunday February 23,2024. Very disappointed no chili for hotdogs. The freezer on site had sever Containers. So we ordered a BLT and Grilled cheese. My friends ordered hotdog the rolls weren’t even steamed.

Came here for ice and bought a lot more! Place was busy on Saturday but friendly staff and happy customers. Great selection of reasonably priced lake clothing.

Grill is the bomb an old fashioned store with a great experience with buying items and souvenirs and T shirts and miscellaneous items , I Loved it firs time going with a friend and they had huge watermelon's local grow . Try it fishing supplies as well service with a smile .

What used to be the store that every lake goer stopped at to fill boat up with gas and get a few supplies, is also an excellent choice for hand dipped ice cream and a monster size club sandwich! These folks could teach other restaurants what a club sandwich is supposed to look like! It is at least 3 inches thick!!!

My home town Local Store, been here 60/70/80 years. Ellington owned now, but still great to have them still here. Lake, fishing, home supplies, Alcohol sales also, in store Grilling.

I'm from the South, and live a hour or so from the store. Buchanan's Store has been in operation since 1878, and so has the dirt!. It doesn't look like it has been cleaned in close to 150 years! The ceilings are low, the isles are close and crowded, and there is no organization. I could not eat anything from the grill area because I felt the grill area could be as dirty as other parts. Yes, it is a historical icon, but its positive reputation far exceeds the reality. Please do not take my word for it; plan a road trip to see for yourself.

Cute little country store with surprising variety of merch. Service needs a bit of work. Young girl behind the register rang up my 94 yr old mother and then turned her back to her to talk to other employees without even telling her the total. Ignored her for quite a bit until she finally said "I'd like to pay please." She turned back around but said nothing as she took her money and gave her change.

Great little country store, grill, & gas station all in one, It's definitely a must, on the way to the lake. The place has been in business since the 1800's, still looks great. Plenty of amazing photo opportunities. Staff is amazing & nice. Food is just as great. Highly recommend a visit to the grill.

Old country store, with modern amenities. Really pricey on everything. Close to the lake so that allows them to extort their location. I will not get caught low on gas, Gatorade again.
