Roanoke Marshes Trading Co. is a great store with a pleasant experience. It is a clean, organized, and well-stocked shop with lots of selection for buying t-shirts, sweatshirts, and more at great prices. The staff is helpful and very nice.
The business is located in a beautiful, pristine cottage-style lighthouse built over the water on Shallowbag Bay in historic downtown Manteo. This replica lighthouse has a very classic coastal appearance and offers a great view. It is a hidden gem adjacent to a wonderful park. Visitors can walk up to and around the structure, which contains a small museum with informative presentations. An information board details local history. It is worth the visit for its unique and pretty setting.
My first visit to Roanoke, I came across this shop. Love this shop. This year we stayed at Kitty Hawk and we made the drive back to Roanoke just so I could come back to this shop. Love the items and the staff were very kind and helpful. Very nice quality.

We stood around for 5 minutes waiting for a cashier. We then had to go find the manager in the back to ask for someone to check us out. Poor service.

Stopped in to get a pair of sunglasses due to forgetting mine at home. Found a polarized pair for under $20 and picked up a new hat. I had no issues with any of the staff and enjoyed my experience.
