“Had a blown tire on 40 just outside of Marion. One of NC’s finest state troopers assisted us and mentioned Bakers as a good option to get a tire replaced. We got there and they immediately looked at the tire and helped us get a new one on in less than 45 minutes. We greatly appreciate their kindness and professionalism.”
“This place saved us! We were an hour into a 9 hour drive home from a trip and our check system charge and battery warning lights came on. We just happened to see the Woodlawn automotive shop and pulled over. The people there were so nice! They helped us right away and repaired our car in an hour and a half. Turns out the alternator needed to be replaced immediately. They got the part and replaced it with no trouble. We couldn’t believe they handled it all so efficiently. “Jeff and Christy are the best. Let me start off by saying. Christy makes you feel like your family. She is so warm and down to earth. While Jeff made me feel so welcomed and appreciated. I had such a great experience. First of all I was looking for a bumper for my truck. I am from Kansas and I had it shipped to me about 5 times. Each time it was the wrong bumper. I called Jeff and he had it. Now he's 16 hours away but I was desperate so I took the trip. This guy even he called me back after out first conversation and reconfirmed that he did have the right one and he held it for me until I got there. And not only that the color matched my car and it was in mint condition. He pointed out a small scratch which my paint guy can fix with no problem. Not only that but it was fully assembled and I believe he gave me a discount. I didn't know what to expect when I got their, as a black man you never know how people will treat you. But I was welcomed with open arms. You shouldnt judge people before you meet them and talk to them because you can really miss a beautiful opportunity to make a true friend. I would like to thank Jeff and Christy they are now my new friends for life.”
“This past weekend on the way to a wedding, myself and 4 groomsmen blew a tire right outside of Marion. We didn’t have the tools necessary to get the spare on, so Marion Tire sent an employee to assist us right there on interstate 40. He admitted yes, just the other day, but I've got it on order.
Before advance auto, or any major brand chain, we had real very hard working people with knowledge of what you needed. This man needs an award for long term service to our community.

“I had my car worked on by them in Feb. Today (1/1/25), I was coming home from Charlotte and heard a horrible noise. I pulled into Gerber to see if they could look at it to make sure it was safe for me to drive the remaining 30 miles home. Tonya Williams not only took it for a test drive, but had several mechanics drive it to see what it was. She wasn’t going to let me leave until it had been diagnosed. The mechanic found a bolt that was missing from the previous repair job. They did all this without me having an appointment. And no charge. I would highly recommend them and love how wonderful Tonya is to all her clients.”

There are restaurants near by, as well convenient gas stations. The camp site will be available year round and will be continuing for family safety and relaxation.”
“Perfect 10 experience! I've had two different cars cared for here:
-2016 Jeep Cherokee - ($2,000+ repair job fixed the lurching and hiccupping. I haven't had a single problem ever since thanks to their expert work. I thought for sure I'd have to buy a new car based on all the issues, but they saved me a huge financial hardship by enabling me to keep what I had with their quick repair.)
-2019 Subaru (Inexpensive bumper-to-bumper safety check that received a clean bill of health with helpful suggestion to replace old tires in a few months.).
The team completed both jobs faster than promised, with full price transparency - minus any unexplained fees or charges. AND since I live close by, kindly provided round trip rides despite their shop being super busy.

Being two women traveling and stranded away from home, it would have been easy to feel vulnerable in this situation, but Chris was honest, kind, professional, and never once made us feel like we were being taken advantage of. “We arrived in Davenport Iowa at 2:45 Sunday and were midway through our 3 month journey when we had a bunch of things shake loose in pur 5th wheel, like the entire bedframe for example. We found Campfire through our campgrounds office. He said to bring the RV at 5pm to his shop and we were done 90 minutes later. James is da bomb!!!”
“Great place clean and filled with great products. Walmart has real value and their pharmacy is a great choice to have your medications filled. There is a $4 drug list that if your medicine is on the list it will only cost you $4. Selections for grocery's are excellent. Meat is pricey. As a whole the store offers excellent value for the buck. Covid 19 precautions are in place and there is a good presence of hand sanitizer, wipes and precautions. In these times we all must be carefully.”

Everyone there was great and when it was finally time to sign we were there only a couple hours, not all day.”
