“This brand new 2022 Dollar General is the cleanest, most well kept Dollar store I've ever been in. There's usually only one or two people working there and I don't see many customers when I drive by.”

“Not many Roses still around. I was surprised to see this one in Laurinburg and called Roses Express. Last time I was in town they had one located in the shopping plaza where the old Cinema is and the old skating rink was. The last one I was in was at Myrtle Beach about 3 years ago the last time I visited the Carolinas. My first job was at the Roses in Bennettsville that was destroyed by the tornado in 1984. It was my first job and I had only worked a week and I was in the store when the tornado hit with my best friend ! Luckily neither one of us was seriously hurt.
The store is clean and organized unlike many bargain stores you go into like Family Dollar , 99 Cent Store , etc that I've been in the past. We have lots of these bargain stores in Las Vegas and most are pretty good , but not all. I came in here to buy flowers for my Mom and Dads' grave. They had a good selection of flowers at very reasonable prices and they were good quality too. I also got a bottle of multivitamins and and sweet tea. They even had a selection of Moon Pies. What Southern Store doesn't have Moon Pies right.
They have lots of clothes and hats to choose from , outdoor stuff like rocking chairs and pop canopy , bathroom items like soaps and hair products , you name it. My Mom also worked for Roses back in the early 80's here in Laurinburg and transferred to the Bennettsville location. Luckily she was off the day of the tornado.”
