This review is pharmacy specific… the rest of the store staff is wonderful! I understand the profession is not easy but a pleasant demeanor and a smile go a long way when in customer service.The majority of this pharmacy staff is rude and unprofessional and this same experience was not after just one visit but multiple visits. When in Murphy I recommend King’s Pharmacy or even Walmart over Walgreens.

This is the absolute worst pharmacy in NC. If you want a bunch of lazy hillbillies handling your meds be sure and visit Walgreens in Murphy NC.

I've had two prescriptions filled at this "Pharmacy." Both involved long waits and snotty attitudes. In the first one, I was told my prescription was ready on the phone, but surprise, when I got there it wasn't ready. After waiting 20 minutes, I gave up for the day and returned the next day. On the second one, again I was informed over the phone that it was ready only to arrive and have the clerk unable to locate it. She literally went all the prescriptions waiting to be picked up before she could find mine which of course had been misfiled. Another 20 minutes or so waiting and when I said I appreciated her perseverance, she acted like this was standard operating procedure there, (probably is), and failed to apologize for my inconvenience. Many stores and restaurants in Murphy function in this manner due to the lack of competition and a labor pool that reflects the low educational levels here and/ or rampant drug abuse. Try King's Pharmacy, or Ingles Pharmacy for competent, friendly service instead.
