“As I heard good things about J&J, I took my vehicle in because I needed an inspection, and I had a strange rubbing sound when I pressed on the brakes. I was expecting an answer that involved a brake job.....BUT.....what I didn't expect, was the honesty of the establishment, stating that my brakes were in excellent condition, and only needed a little lubrication to fix the rubbing noise. Excellent service, and I have now found a new mechanic....as I am new to the area!!!!”

I called & talked to the lady behind the counter & she told me if I could make it back there, they would replace it for free. “In the five years I’ve lived here, it took me several tries before I finally found an auto mechanic shop that I trust here in New Bern. I’m very particular about my car (Audi), and how she’s serviced. Unlike other places, I’ve never found grease on my steering wheel or door handles, never had oil spilling out on my driveway because someone forgot to check the seal when they changed the filter, and never been surprised by an unexpected charge—all things that have happened at other shops before a friend recommended Convenient. Dave is exceptional to work with when leaving my car. I’m happy to drop it off, and I always get a text when it’s ready. If anything is noticed that needs replacing, they always call me and talk about it first (i.e., cabin air filter). Also, I prefer to receive a printout of everything that was done during the service—which I find some places here don’t do! Convenient Auto is more than convenient. They are conscientious, courteous, and knowledgeable. I have complete confidence in them.”
“Most of us don't have extensive experience dealing with body shops so selecting one for a repair can be a crapshoot - such was my case as I'm a recent new resident to New Bern. What great fortune I had in choosing Bear for my service need. Big props to Alex who not only walked me thru the necessary insurance steps but interceded to break a logjam at Geico thanks to his personal relationship with their adjuster. My vehicle work was scheduled quickly, the components were ordered in timely fashion and the labor was efficient and flawless. The supplemental claim estimate for unseen damage was breezed thru the insurer by Alex' capable administration without me having to be involved. Best of all, the finished car work was exceptional - perfect paint match and blend topped it off to an ideal result. If you want hassle-free body service, choose Bear. If you want timely action and regular communication, choose Bear. If you want undetectable body repair, choose Bear. If you want a provider who does what they promise, choose Bear. “I did something really stupid with my SLK 350 hard-top convertible. A rubber mat I had left in the wrong place in the trunk got itself jammed deep in the folding mechanism - and the top was down! I was facing a probably expensive trip to a Mercedes-Benz dealer, more than two hours away, and with the possibility of rain on the way.... I had never been to this shop before, but I tried it on a recommendation and got immediate help from a skilled mechanic. He had a low-tech solution that saved the day with some simple common sense. He really saved my day, and I'm truly grateful. Thank you Jeff!”

“My husband’s truck broke down yesterday and instead of taking it to his usual VERY EXPENSIVE, SLOW mechanic we had it towed here where we go for our inspection! The truck was fixed quickly and runs great, staff is very friendly and the mechanic was great! His usual mechanic said it would take a week to repair and the price quoted was ridiculous. I got it fixed here in two hours and saved a lot of money! This place is great, thank you!! Customer for life!”

“The driveshaft of my 1997 Jeep Wrangler came apart due to a failed universal joint. Fortunately, I was able to remove the driveshaft, place the Jeep in 4WD, and drove it to Tripp’s. I thought for sure that we wouldn’t see it until the following week. The next morning, I received a call from Debbie, our Jeep was fixed. The repair was excellent! We cannot recall it driving this well.9/26/2022: I brought my Jeep to Tripp's, again, due to it not starting. Through creative troubleshooting, he and his technicians were able to determine that the PCM(computer) had failed. The older the Jeep, the harder to find a new PCM. Lon researched the PCM and found a company that repairs PCMs. It took a few weeks, but finally arrived. Tripp's installed it and the Jeep hasn't run so well in a long time.Again, Tripp’s did an excellent job! They have all my future Jeep repair business! Thank you Lon!Service: Auto engine diagnostic”
